  1. That came out great, still have my glue bomb from my youth.
  2. Nice, the Jungle Jim F/C and '72? Challenger are cool.
  3. This is an older build I recently dug out after being stored away while I get my display cases and model room in order. It was built from a mid 60's release using mostly the kit parts with some chrome from more recent editions. The only recent changes were the red and white striped slicks from the newer AMT parts pack (I still have the narrow pie crusts that came with the kit) The original decals were sealed with a light coat of clear and went on with few issues and the body was cleared with automotive urethane. I really enjoy older box art and have a number of finished kits and WIP's from various 60's era kits duplicating some of the cool cars depicted on boxes.
  4. I too would be interested in getting on a list. All your wagons look outstanding.
  5. I've turned over a number of parts from the original release to a resin caster, hopefully we'll see parts to make the Eliminator a bit more of an accurate '34.
  6. MST3K... One of my absolute favourites! Still keeping me in stitches after all these years, even the old ones. I can watch the older movies over and still find something new and hilarious. I find after suggesting it to people most don't get it, make of that what you will. Went with my wife to the live tour this year and met Joel Hodgson and the current host Jonah Ray.
  7. Nice!! What brand(s) pencil do you use?
  8. That's neat, reminds me of the BMW art cars starting in the 70's
  9. I like the colour, the light edges on the front fender are a nice transition. Are you going for a satin or flat finish or a glossy paint look? If you're heading towards glossy paint I'd Google some photos of trucks of that era in darker colours to guide you on hard reflections and highlights. Looks great so far. Feel free to PM me with any questions.
  10. Absolutely beautiful! All the more reason I wish Revell would reissue some of their old cycle kits. Licensing aside I believe there are some other reasons they may not be able to be done.
  11. Thanks for the review. While tractors are generally not something I would typically build this kit intrigues me.
  12. Brian, your sprint car rod looks awesome. Did you use the AMT parts pack chassis? For what it's worth I painted the Street Fighter with a combination of Bob's paints, House of Kolor and pearl powder from Tom Gaffney (that goes way back) cleared with thinned urethane. Thanks for the complements guys.
  13. Nice!!! My father was into classics and I grew up on many of the Pyro and Life-Like 1/32 kits because of him. While the ones I built have been lost to time l inherited his collection of built and unbuilt kits when he passed. Brings back lots of memories, your builds look great!
  14. I really like where this is going. I've always enjoyed seeing survivors and and restored vintage builds. A friend of mine has some really cool survivors in his collection that he's picked up over the years. Can't wait to see it done.
  15. My WIP Street Fighter II. I've got a number of other Roth and T.D. show rod's that are currently packed away from the last NNL I attended. I should really get them unpacked and photograph some. Unfortunately I've been really tied up with work lately and haven't had time for much else. Show rod's are some of my favourite modeling subjects. Dan, is that the Monogram Smug Bug/Muscle Bug? I've been looking for one for a while, had one when I was young and still have fragments of it. Looks awesome, as are all the other show rod's posted.
  16. Excellent work on the paint, candies can be difficult to come out as even and vibrant as yours, well done.
  17. Thanks for the update, even more reason that I'm glad I've waited to purchase a printer and have spent time learning 3d modeling.
  18. Ditto on all the above complements, this has been a grail kit for me up until recently. Nice to see one finished.
  19. Looks really nice, great save!
  20. Colored pencils would work great, or use in combination with markers. You don't have to break the bank on materials. Check YouTube for tutorial videos on coloring with whatever you're choice is, there's a huge amount to help and inspire. And above all, have fun!!!
  21. That's a great looking build! Jim Hall's creations are some of my favourites.
  22. Love the paint, definitely has a Winfield vibe to it. Wheels are a great choice too.
  23. Nice color and stance, looks great!
  24. Wow! That's really cool, love the diorama too. Excellent!
  25. Indeed!! I'm unfortunately rather allergic to cats and many dogs but still love 'em. My little buddy has hair so I can deal with him better, besides he seems to like to get involved in my projects.
