  1. I think you'll be happy with it. I have one on a gravity fed Talon and it works great.
  2. Nice to see the 1/32 Mustang since slot cars share hobby bench space.
  3. If cartoons count how about Speed Buggy and the Wacky Racers? ? Where are the Munsters Coach and Dragula? Yet there's a POS El Camino and a blah Maserati on the list.
  4. It can be adapted, however Paasche makes a valve that would probably be less expensive than the adapters required. http://www.paascheairbrush.com/discount-class/b/3a-1
  5. Seems like a sorry waste of vintage tin. That Imperial looks like it was pretty solid.
  6. Nice, love fade paint jobs and I really like the color on this.
  7. I know I've seen a set at one time, however I don't remember if it was the above mentioned Slixx or Fred Cady. I know Fred did a lot of vintage drag decals. Model Empire in West Allis Wisconsin has some back stock of Fred's decals maybe a call or email may turn up something. I also beleive they have some older Slixx too but could be older NASCAR stuff http://modelempireusa.com/
  8. Nice looking build, now you'll have to build the 1972 Challenger convertible from Mission Impossible as a stablemate. I also remember some Cuda/Challenger '72 convertibles on other TV series like The Brady Bunch, Medical Center and possibly The Mod Squad. There's probably others since Chrysler, like the other manufacturers supplied cars to various shows.
  9. Seems like the The Wild Dream along with the King T and others were treated rather cruely since it's first issue. Although there's probably too little left it would be nice to see restored. The Street Beast '26 would be neat to have, I'd certainly be on board for a couple.
  10. Thanks for posting the story, great insight into the history of this series. I would love to see these kits return. I've had most of them at one point, however even though I've tried to hang on to most of the kits from my youth these seemed to have slipped through my fingers. I'm excited about the upcoming release of the RX7, although I don't think it was based in this series. Hopefully the powers that be would consider reissuing some kits from this series. I certainly would be an enthusiastic buyer!
  11. I was blessed to have a father who was not only into 1/1 cars but models as well. He loved classic cars and I have inherited multiples of most of the classic cars from Monogram, Johan, MPC and others, including Hubley kits. When I grew up he'd be working on those while I was building the latest Tom Daniel whatever. As I matured I grew to appreciate those kits as much as he did and am so glad I have them now. I still would love to see some of them reissued, especially the Monogram Bugatti 35B.
  12. I agree about the vintage repops, especially since many of them have additional art added. I also have a number of van kits that would benefit from the dirty Don van decals. I did purchase a couple directly from Round2 but could use more. I was going to fire off a response to their post after seeing this but sitting awhile and thinking, there's quit a bit of subject matter that would be nice to see. I think for many of their re-releases there are many of us who have older/original kits that could benefit from a new set of decals, take the newly issued '49 Ford coupe for example.
  13. Yeah I know, forgot to mention that since my reference was only to the AMT kit.
  14. Got a 93% 41 out of 44. I don't know if that's good since it certainly ages me I think. However everyone should be able to answer question #8
  15. The Ranchero never had a small block Ford. My understanding is the Chevy motor in the kit was repurposed from the '66 Chevy. annual/modified stocker.
  16. They all are excellent builds, but I find the Chrysler to be outstanding!!!
  17. As cool as the engine is I'm surprised no one has put out a resin copy of the whole Astro 1 kit. Since the original tooling was chopped up for the ridiculous and ugly Scorpion dragster I don't see it being back tooled and reissued.
  18. The streamliner with wheel covers or spats is a Jimmy Flintstone item although I don't know if it's currently available.
  19. In my travels to the south to visit my daughter I would occasionally have to have my car serviced and the attending mechanic often ask if I wanted my owl changed.
  20. If that was the response I would have ask to see management, I use Hobby Lobby mostly for art supplies and even if I don't know the cashier often they will give the discount before I pull my phone out or at the very least ask. I forgot my phone and she still gave it to me on one visit. There are often older customers who clearly don't have smartphones and often just ask. In my experience most of the cashiers know the 4 digit discount number.
  21. Thanks for the review. I've been looking forward to these for nostalgia reasons, my grandmother always had a 1/32 Lindberg, Aurora or other small car kit for me when I went for a visit. I think they were $.39 or $.49 at the time. There was a small pharmacy around the corner from her house and they always had a nice selection of kits. The chrome parts are a really nice bonus!
  22. You are truly a master of the blue oval! The '57 is outstanding, great color choices on that one.
  23. Nice!!???? One my favorite Porsches in my favorite liveries, outstanding build.
  24. My family has you and yours in our prayers. Be strong and prayers also to your family to face this with you.
