  1. Very Nice! Let me guess. You also had the 64 color Crayola crayon box and like my wife, always attempt to use as many colors as you can when coloring.
  2. I'm thinking you will probably not get anything, seeing that the model is no longer in production.
  3. I had that problem too with the larger decals on the sheets. This was several years or more ago. I thought they had fixed those problems.
  4. Looks great, except you have your front and rear wheels mixed.
  5. Over the years here in Wichita, I've seen several instances of kits opened and missing decals or miscellaneous parts. Oddly, a couple of months ago i found two completely empty kit boxes on the shelf. That was pretty bold.
  6. Nice outlaw.
  7. That looks really good Randy.
  8. Randy, I think you did very well considering what you had to work with. The Welly GSX has always looked slightly out of proportion to me. Kind of squished together.
  9. I built this kit when I was a kid a couple of times a) because it was cheap and b} it was simple and gave instant gratification as a pretty good looking hot rod without much work.
  10. This is like my all time favorite model of Ford. Most people don't even know about Galaxie XL GTs. I have a set of decals from Kieth Marks to complete a 69 XL GT and a set of hubcaps from a Shelby Mustang.
  11. OK. I didn't realize it at the time I was building it all the things that were wrong. I did have internet, but wasn't into any deep research. I would have liked to try and correct the fender scoops and the wing. Those are probably the most egregious and visible errors now that I know. The door scallops are just a little offensive and the other flaws aren't that harsh in my eyes.
  12. Ok, it will have to wait until next week. I'll start pulling stuff out of the hobby room. I have to sort my kits for eBay anyhow.
  13. Man, I envy you guys who live where Ollies are located. Nothing like that here, but once with Big Lots many years ago. But maybe it's a good thing. I might go broke.
  14. Were you talking about this weird Daytona by Lincoln Mint? If you were, I probably still have them somewhere.
  15. Looks great. I love that huge Dominator carburetor on the Boss 429.
  16. Man, that looks great. Need to finish the one I started when it first came out, what 15, 20 years ago? It just needs paint and final assembly. Just like, I don't know, 15-50 others. I've lost track.
  17. Only one I could find. http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/testors/testors-2006-charger-rt-/
  18. Sure looks sharp. I have that kit too. Someday I'll get too it. Great inspiration.
  19. Looks sharp to me
  20. Keep the box, keep the instructions. Store the car in the box for long term or moving. All extra parts go into another storage bin.
  21. Well, before I actually found out how easy the wheel was to replace with the spare, I thought about PE wheels too. The rest of the car has such spotty and mediocre detail, I'm kind of glad I didn't have to. For example, there's a hatch in the head rest fairing for access to the fuel cap. You can barely tell it's there on the old car. The chassis and engine detail are pretty good, but why didn't they hinge the hood? No wonder so many of the latches and buckles are missing from the ones for sale on eBay. Finally, the dog legs for the door hinges are gigantic. I'm just glad I didn't pay full retail from DM when they were new. Don't get me wrong, I like the little car, and it fits in with my attempt to collect cars of the fifties. If you want to put PE wheels on it and add decals to make it unique, I say go for it.
  22. So I'm thinking about making the screwy little chrome latches that are missing on the old car. I was wondering what they really look like 1:1. Pretty close, if you squeeze your eyes tight. Maybe I can bend up some guitar wire and cover it in thick superglue and then paint it chrome with a Molotow pen. Randy, I usually wait to sell when they offer no fees, then I drop a bunch of stuff. If it doesn't sell, which is usually '90s NASCAR kits. I can't hardly give them away. I wait until I have some other stuff and when they have no fees again. Christmas is coming, so I'll be getting the NASCAR junk back out for a buck to start plus shipping. I think it's the shipping that scares everybody. I'm not sure if they want me to advertise my seller name. I can PM you a price for the Ferrari if you want it plus my eBay name.
