Nice clean body colour!

great looking build! i tend to leave clear chassis like that too - to show off all the detail! the openings fit well...

Thanks Scott & Dann! And I do have the B&H decals... So I have made progress, I'm proud of the dash & steering wheel assembly I tried to make an electrical box, but buggered up the cooling fins, so it'll just be a plain box now - i've cut those fins off! wheels are complete! coated in 1K clear from Zero And the electrical connectors have been primed in black awaiting a silver finish, they've been bored with a fine drill to accept cables... Slow progress! My interior tub has annoyed me. When ever I have box shaped interior tubs, I end up getting dusty paint finish on both the doors & the bottom area. SO i had a great idea - I masked out the interior & painted the doors... only for the tape to leave t's sticky goo all over the rest of the interior - a little bit of it is shown. I'm using tamiya yellow tape, it's never happened to me before, but it's annoyed me. I've cleaned off some of it with white spirits, masked the doors and ready to re-prime the rest of the interior...

Monogram Ferrari GTO 1/24 Scale the 5 year build
Funkychiken replied to Funkychiken's topic in WIP: Model Cars
OK, so I got back on this on the weekend, the new body has been sanded, filled, cleaned, sanded filled etc a few times, and we still have transition marks. I'm using Vallejo filler, Mr Filler filler & bondo (automotive repair filler) without much sanding luck... I'm using tamiya 320, 400 & 600 grit papers too. I shall soldier on, I had to post this, as it's basically a few weeks worth of work! Thanks for the comments too guys! -
Great build, I love daily runners!

Great builds, and there's such a contrast between the sharp angular design in the 80s to the F100s.!

Thanks for the tips guys, I fixed them up as much as I could. I was intentinf on replacinf the outer rim with a small cut out of tube, but decided to just sand them flat, and have another go. So here they are. Alclad Aluminium for teh wheels & Alclad Chrome for the locking nuts

I hope you are trying to grow a zz top beard at the same time... Great looking rebuild you've got going on here.

Would have looked sweet in the end... Shame

Looks great so far. I've had the paint splatter before too, in my experience, it was due to build up on the needle point that I didn't regularly wipe away, and it v only happens with 'rough paint, where the pigment isn't finely ground. I wonder how you have a knack of breaking hood hinges! There's got to be a back story to that... I'm intrigued! Coming together well!

Never seen one built, so looking forward to it. I like your personal challenge - to restrain your SBing! These fujimi curbside kits are all basic, and don't come with any door cards. It really annoys me! Your build is coming along really well! Good luck with your deadline
