I like the idea of a 'slump buster' looks like I need one too! Yours came out great!

It's a stunner! Love it

Are you ready to flock it up? Looking good sir...

Thanks Guys, appreciate it!

Thanks for the tips guys, I fixed them up as much as I could. I was intentinf on replacinf the outer rim with a small cut out of tube, but decided to just sand them flat, and have another go. So here they are. Alclad Aluminium for teh wheels & Alclad Chrome for the locking nuts

I hope you are trying to grow a zz top beard at the same time... Great looking rebuild you've got going on here.

Would have looked sweet in the end... Shame

Looks great so far. I've had the paint splatter before too, in my experience, it was due to build up on the needle point that I didn't regularly wipe away, and it v only happens with 'rough paint, where the pigment isn't finely ground. I wonder how you have a knack of breaking hood hinges! There's got to be a back story to that... I'm intrigued! Coming together well!

Never seen one built, so looking forward to it. I like your personal challenge - to restrain your SBing! These fujimi curbside kits are all basic, and don't come with any door cards. It really annoys me! Your build is coming along really well! Good luck with your deadline

I might just try that Dale! This is what they look like stripped and primed. I'm going to sand off the melted part and just rebuild like this!
-
Love the kit, vehicle and your build!

The pictures don't show how bad the issue really is. I've managed to break the pins and one lug of the spinners.

So this kit has been in my built kit cabinet for a few years, and then I noticed this goo pouring out of the wheels. it looks like the rubber is attacking the plastic, and the plastic pours out. I didn't pay it any attention, but it just gets worst and worse. So I took the wheel off & stripped them with brake fluid

Sorry if there's too many pics here, but I love this build! It was mosly completed over the last half of last year, it took up a lot of my free time over Christmas, but alas it couldn't be completed before year end. It got fully finished a few weeks ago, I didn't like the photos, I was going to get more pics with a contrasting background, but can't be bothered for now I'm posting these! there is a WIP post too if your interested. A great kit, well engineered (as many people commented on my topic in the WIP section) goes together really well. I probably should have glued the side/skits on prior to painting, but I was too focused on the wheel areas which you can't see anyway... you live & learn

Looks nice, aggressive looking car!

I guess you had to thin out that paint a lot to get it to spray. Looks great...
-
Wow, printed car. All it needs is a little sanding to remove the contour lines. Looks great though.

Great build, I like the slammed look
