  1. Nice build right there !!! These trucks are so nice to look at One thing I've done before that helps the look , take a thin strip of plastic and attach it under the cab door like a filler panel. It hides the see through effect .
  2. Thanks ! It's starting to be difficult to work around now all the bracing is going on before paint .. The rear springs have a radius rod type bar id assume is to keep axle centered . I got them from Dave Natale specific for this build . The trucks typically had a Cat bulldozer engine to power the blower unit , D 348 possibly. Theres a large rear mounted radiator also. Thanks , its definitely starting to look like a snowblower now instead of a huge pile of random parts.. Tonite I had a few spare minutes so I cleaned up the augers . Our 4 yr old said " it doesn't have teeth like Bumble ..did Hermie take his teeth out too ? She watches Rudolf too much . Well now it has the teeth ! I may add some meng bolts later

  8. Good looking old Ford ! I've seen these for sale frequently, never sure enough about quality and the material used to click the buy now button Guess I'll live vicariously thru you ! The chassis plans sound good , as is the engine choice

  13. Thats gonna be a monster! Love the plan drawing , I was helped by Gary Wallace years ago w a scaled down drawing of the fdm mixer I was building . Sure made it easier making parts fit and look right Ps..the phrase was also coined by Walt Disney when designing Walt Disney world bit of useless history

  17. Jim B - nah you've got this ! Best part of model building is making something unique and learning skills rarely used imo Losing the air bag suspension was a good option
  18. Mine just came out of soapy bath and mild scub w comet . Gets the resin nice for primer before construction begins !

  20. Gotta love when plans come together ! Thats a technique I really should employ , much better working from plans instead of crude quesstimation
