  1. I found one of those caps outside of my office! Put it in my pocket of course! Now I know where to get more. And actually, all cones aren't smooth all the way down!!
  2. Very good use of material for authentic-looking cinder blocks. I may have to try the sheetrock, er..drywall method as I have a few pieces laying around.
  3. Wow, that's an impressive collection!
  4. Is it me or has the speed of the Internet gone back to the days of the screaming modem? I don't have the most modern computer, but even at work with fiber cable and latest computer the net is slow. It's faster than I have at home but one of the reasons is that they have the ability to block streaming vids. It took me almost an hour to post some pics on another site! And they wonder why people don't spend as much time on the web as they used to!
  5. I like it!! Very well done! I think it will work well with that body.
  6. Steve, I think most of us understand that sometimes you have to throttle it down for a while. We appreciate sharing your skill and ideas with us.
  7. Sweet build!!
  8. That's an idea, but now I'm recommitted.
  9. So I decided to work on my Bimmer rat rod and got a little too aggressive on the cutting, so its now, lets say unsuitable. My updated entry will be a 56 F-100 that was a post apoc fun build but my wife's nephews thought it should be played with and not sitting on a shelf. We all know what came next. Not sure about wheels or whether I'll go with or without a front end but I'm excited about the ideas swirling around in my gray matter.
  10. Very nice work Matt. Excellent detail! Hey I just fabricated a McCullough/Paxton blower for my 56. Did yours come with the kit?
  11. Like they say Chris, the only dumb question is the one you didn't ask. I'm no expert, but it all depends on what you're trying to accomplish. For most smaller parts, using like semi-gloss black you can use Krylon. Me I've found True Value paint to be equal to Krylon. Their satin black is sweet, and I've used it on bodies. For Testors, and Tamiya I buy at Hobby Lobby with the 40% off coupon but you can only apply it to one item per trip. So if they aren't close you have to factor in gas. I buy some at Michaels but the one in my area neglects their paint rack so I'm limited in the colors I can get there. I use the coupon there too. You will get a lot of ideas on your question, but these are my short and sweets.
  12. I have the kit built and took a look and did some quick research. It has two Holley 4160 650 cfm carbs. Calnaga Castings has a 650 if you want to take a look at it and see if it matches your needs, but they have the vacuum secondaries so they don't exactly match. http://www.thecarsource.com/fords/engines/427engine.shtml
  13. Can't wait to see it Rob!!
  14. Very sweet. I love the 6 cyl. engine!
  15. It looks like the hard work was well worth it. Very nice!!
  16. You did it justice. Very nice.
  17. K, so I failed the spelling test!
  18. Wow, I almost missed this post. Nice job Jeff! I absolutely love it.
  19. Fantastic work Jay! It looks like the real deal. I love the whole dio.
  20. Impressive Tom. I love how it sits.
  21. Oh that's so nice! Top notch!
  22. Great metalwork Luis!! I've never seen that kit before but I like it.
