  1. Nicely done!
  2. Nice work! The missing mirror thing must be contagious because I lost one on my Porsche as well.
  3. Yes, supports can be added to FDM but its not as easy as SLA printers. Cura slicer has an array of different supports that can be used, tho I haven't used any myself. My FDM is about 3 years old so its old tech. The newer ones should be much better but I won't be buying one. I'll be upgrading my SLA next year for one with better res.
  4. True, I have a resin and an FDM. I use the resin for small parts but its a smaller printer and I don't do bodies on it. I have however done some bodies on my FDM using a .02mm tip. It takes a long time and still req's sanding after ward. I also do all of my chassis, chassis pans, and some interior panels. All below were done on my Creality V3 FDM printer.
  5. GM was into hydrogen over a decade ago and were very far along but then bailed for some reason. I do think all-electric cars will be the norm someday, but in the meantime I think hybrids are the way to go as a bridge, and some auto companies see that, read Toyota. Right now the investments are in all-electrics, and that ain't changing until they realize the earth doesn't have the raw materials to support it globally.
  6. Very nice! Thanks for posting.
  7. Nice build and dio!
  8. Good info! I only meant the external look of the engine as far as being the same.
  9. Just download a slicer file (I use Cura for my FDM printer) and a free file from Cults and take 'er for a spin and you'll know what you have. Make sure you download a fairly simple 3D file that won't run for hours so you can monitor the print. Good luck.
  10. First off I'm not a Hemi expert, so lets get that out of the way, but based on the article I read (and linked below) there is no diff between the car & truck 6.4 Hemi except the manifold, and since you're changing that anyway it shouldn't be a problem. The problem will be in finding one but it may be easier to find a car kit than a truck kit. Good luck. https://www.dodgegarage.com/news/article/how-to/2020/10/gen-iii-hemi-engine-quick-reference-guide-part-iv.html
  11. That looks like a free file available on Cults that I downloaded myself. I've read where people sell prints of free files, which usually aren't high quality. Here it is in my slicer.
  12. They exist but I'm not sure if that's on aftermarket manifolds or not.
  13. These guys bought out Scale Hardware years ago. I've bought a couple of things since but not lately. https://model-motorcars.myshopify.com/collections/small-parts-hardware/nuts
  14. Sorry, no pics but I saw a Ford F150 diesel that sounded like it had a huge supercharger under it. It was lifted and otherwise stock-looking except the huge tires and wheels. The only place I've heard a blower whine like that was at the track on a gasoline engine. What beautiful sound!
  15. My couple. Biscayne & Opel
  16. Since you started this thread I've been gifted an 83 Corvette kit my brother had no intention of building. Though I won't go such an extensive route as you I will use some of your processes. Thanks for posting.
  17. Welcome Rick!
  18. I do it because its hard to see imperfections with white primer. I use grey primer to find and fix imperfections then if I need white primer I'll spray a thin coat of it.
  19. Very nice!
  20. Coming down to the wire on my 918. Got a rolling chassis so I did a pre-paint mockup. The wheels may not be final though but they came out great with the black background. I still want to add seat belts to the interior. As for the paint, it will be HOK Burple candy base.
  21. Now that's sweet!
  22. Yeah, I'm a confessed offender. I tend to shelve a project when I run into an issue that I can't immediately solve. I may find a solution later but don't update a thread figuring the audience has moved on.
