  1. Been wanting to pick one of these up for a loooooooooong time. Great score.
  2. After discussing with Jonathan about the wheels and tires we both decided that it would be better off with something of a different style. I found a spare set of tires from a Revell T/A Challenger kit and a spare set of Rallye wheels from a Camaro kit that I had in stock to help out here: Yeah...…………..that's more like it.
  3. Thanks Dave. He was sort of leaving that up to me but I'm trying to include him in on the options. Like me, he didn't like the kit wheels or tires but I had alternatives for both that he liked. Same for the powerplant. I've done everything but color which I need to ask him about. And yes I can tell it's your favorite kit! Got any of your build photos on this one?
  4. Thanks Jeff. Putting the finishing touches on it. The next update will be in the "Under Glass" section as I'm pretty dang close now. Just waiting on the hood to dry so I can cal it and then clear it. I sanded the sides of the headlights where they were adjoined to the sprue and shot some Molotow through the AB on them. After I let 'em sit a couple of days I'll clear them with Spaz Stix Ultimate Clear so they can be handled and I'll be out of parts to install.
  5. Any progress on this one?
  6. Very shiny and very cool build!!! Despite some of the kit shortcomings this is a spectacular outcome.
  7. Missed this one when you were building it John. Very unique and interesting build.
  8. Progress on this one is looking good James. Real good.
  9. Dude..................this is unreal!!
  10. Thanks Lloyd. I should have this one wrapped up within the next week hopefully.
  11. Didn't think about that part. You can add me in on that too.
  12. Every update it just keeps getting better and better Steve. Really glad to this one progressing again.
  13. What did you use for the clear coat on this? This is one heckuva build so far Jeff.
  14. No problem Craig. Hang around these fellas here and you'll definitely notice a change for the better in your modeling in a few months. It worked for me. Wait and see. Pearl White is on and I'm still waiting on it to gas out. The flames on the sides of the car are complete and I managed to fill in the blank space at the front of the door by trimming the decals and inserting the missing pieces. Just gotta let this finish curing out, apply that Demon II decal up front and then we're off to the final clear coat and polishing. So far...………..so good.
  15. My grandparents had a car like this waaaaaaaaaaay back when. It was brown and I think it had a 351W in it. I'll be tagging along on this one Dwayne.
  16. WOOOOoooooow!!! Dude that's friggin NICE!! Great transformation.
  17. Man...…………..this thing is RIGHT ON!!! I really don't think you could make it any more realistic.
  18. This one came out of nowhere but I'll be working on this one for a friend of my son. His name is Jonathan and he received this for a birthday gift a few months ago. He's been over to our house a time or two and has seen the stuff that I build and seemed interested. He's asked me kindly to build this one for him so while the Willy's is in and out of the paint booth and being polished here and there I'll have this to work on. Here's the kit:
  19. Thanks Cody. Hopefully I can make some good progress on this over the long weekend.
  20. For some unknown reason I couldn't edit my own post. What I wanted to say was that I'm going to clear the whole thing to seal all the decals on once in place and then mask off and paint the White Pearl on the front clip and clear that. Been trying for 20 minutes to edit that into the original post and it kept kicking me out.
  21. I hear you on the tablet thing for sure. I tried posting to forums on mine and it's very frustrating. I'll be going with the original Street Demons theme from 1983 with a slight twist on the colors. I'll be going with Testor's Icy Blue for the blue part and then a Pearl White for the front half. It took me around two days to get rid of all the mold lines and ejector pin marks from it. But......here it is in the primer stage.... and then with the paint job and the door flame decals on. More to come.........
  22. Get the cameras rollin' boyz. This one's gonna be a showstopper!
  23. I am definitely diggin' this build. Good ideas all the way around. Are those carburetors from FAB Resinworks?
  24. I can't get over the job on the bumpers. This build is definitely gonna be one for the books.
