This will look great in black. We don't many custom Mercs in that color. With a visor and some tinted Windows this would take on a really sinister look. Thanks for sharing.

32 Ford 7-Window Coupe RATROD --- UPDATE 10/08 --- New Photoshop mockup
misterNNL replied to Stef's topic in WIP: Model Cars
You're a brave soul to attempt this in the first place. The extra weight the second engine will out of necessity call for some really creatively sturdy front suspension and frame cross members.A quick internet search finds a 426 hemi engine weighs in at approx 750 pounds so that x 2 = 1,500 lbs of motors. -

Crisp, clean, well photographed and nicely proportioned hot rod. Thanks for sharing your scale vision with us. -
I certainly agree about parts robbing for kits in our stash.I have always said unless you are going to build an exact replica of the model as it appears on the box art...it's all raw material.

I am one year into a very complicated build of a huge vintage delivery truck hauling/delivering five knocked down Ford model T's to a dealer.I am using AMT '25 Fords as my disassembled "New'cars and need some help. One of the vehicles will be a roadster pick with the bed on the truck as a seperate piece.I will be displaying it on end with the bottom and the back panel exposed in plain sight. since the kit part has basically no details there I am wanting to more acurately show those parts more correctly.I have no luck on-line so far.I would like to see some photos of these areas if possible to see if the wood floor boards are visible from the bottom and what details are on the front of that forward bed panel so I can attempt to replicate them. Thanks in advance for your help!

That brings back a great vacation memory for me.I built a '69 Camoro convertible from the pace car kit on a vacation when in rained for a solid week.I bought the kit, paint and everything else in a dime store(yes a real 5 and 10 cent store) and thoroughly enjoyed the build. That built car is still on display in my model room. Thanks for sharing.

A Trio of Vintage Chevrolet Impalas, 1959, 1960 and 1961
misterNNL replied to RandyB.'s topic in Model Cars
Thanks for posting these builds.Very nicely done. These were the real cars I lusted after but couldn't afford in high school.I was a junior when we walked two blocks to the local Chevy dealer to see them;A senior in '60 with no money for cars and too poor in '61 to afford anything but a well used '55 Chevy sedan.I still have the brochures I picked on those new model release days though!! -
Nice builds on both and clear, sharp photos as well.
