  1. Great tip!
  2. My copy arrived today. Hurray! Great issue with crystal clear hi-def photos and enough inspiration to keep me going till the next issue.
  3. Add what suits your personal style. I build a lot of model T era stuff so full detail is less rigorous than current stuff. I know somewhere between little and nothing about modern engine technology so am not interested in building and detailing anything with computer controlled anything. To those that do... good for you. I'll stay over here with my lunatic fringe friends and be humbly amazed at what you're doing.
  4. Thanks for the quick answer.
  5. Is there someone I can contact about getting a vendor's table?
  6. Simply incredible talent!
  7. Every model I have ever built has been created out of a desire to duplicate something I have seen in real life or in print. To that end I endeavor to have the end result look good as a complete unit. The complete real vehicle is what inspired me initially so my completed model must look good when Assembly is finished. That in mind some of the component parts may need to adjusted in size or position to achieve the desired end result. A long time ago I coined the term"Gotcha Factor ". It perfectly describes a vehicle that grabs you by the eyeballs and won't let go. That is my goal with every model I build, give it that " Gotcha Factor " for all who see it.
  8. A wonderfully insightful video of a true master craftsman.
  9. Family time should be priceless. Treasure every minute as you only have them for a short time.
  10. Outstanding attention to realistic details. Superior work overall. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
  11. Stuffed it into the walk ??
  12. Thanks for Nothing Photo Bucket!
  13. Over the top creativity and inspiration !!
  14. Please repost with less clutter in background.
  15. A nice speedster model. One friendly suggestion is to check out photos on the internet of the real cars with this engine. There should actually be four exhaust pipes to be correct. I have built several four cylinder engine elsewhere and all have four pipes. Thanks for sharing your photos with us.
  16. I love those big cruisers. Imagine driving that to take your drivers license test in high school. I was a junior when this car was new.
  17. Nice to have you on board Ron. a large percentage of us share your background of childhood building. I am 78 and thanks for modern eye surgery my eyesight is not a problem..I had cataracts in both eyes and was told that with surgery I would be blind in my right eye within 6 months. I feel blessed to have steady hands and the energy to still pursue my styrene addiction.
  18. Welcome aboard the best darn forums today. There is so much information and inspiration available here!
  19. I'm glad you're back at the workbench Ric. This is a great time to be building and sooo much easier to do some research for our builds with the advent of this electronic age we all live in today.
  20. Fabulous high def pictures. Thanks for posting them
  21. Thanks for posting this build. I owned a real '48 Chevy for a couple decades that I recently gave to our oldest grandson. Great fun to drive and display at local car shows. I consider the styling of those '46 thru '48's as the last cars of the art deco era.
  22. If the wheels were more realistic this could become a lot of great bikes by doing some customizing.
  23. I look at that five speed and my scratch builders mind starts breaking it down into all the individual pieces I would have to fabricate to make my own version. At about 50 or so pieces I realize that I would not take the time to do it then hide in and under a body so I admire the talent on display and walk away impressed.
