  1. Very impressive!
  2. Bodily going where no '40 Ford has gone before. Great concept!
  3. That car under the tree could literally be any make . It has an aftermarket speedster body mounted it,
  4. You're welcome. I use that same method when building the antique travel trailers I build. Once you have an accurate measurement for the wheelbase or overall body length everything falls into place.
  5. Great technique for getting the correct profiles by making templates using photos of the real thing. Admirable work in every area. Thanks for taking photos and sharing your progress with us.
  6. Very impressive!
  7. I guess we should expect a gal in her 60's to have some wrinkles but find a way not to mention it in front of her.I'm just sayin.
  8. Nice save! Truly a labor of love in progress. I'll be watching this one develop. Thanks for sharing your WIP process with us.
  9. Great ideas here. I'm liking it a lot so please keep posting your progress.
  10. Very nicely done. The weathering is very subtle and spot on.
  11. O.K. Now that we have all the information and dimensions that we can possibly use , Who's going to step up and build some models?? Maybe vintage RV's will become the latest "thing".
  12. That cluttered work bench would make me feel right at home.
  13. Top shelf skills on display here. Real World weathering is nice to see for a change. Thanks for sharing your skills with us.
  14. Well I will add my 2 cents worth here and say I like Chip's design on this one. I never liked the original cars at all( not sorry blue oval fans). I have and always will be a blue bowtie guy. Now that has been said I am a big fan of the current generation of the Mustang. Beautiful design and being one of those old guys that still puts his window down to hear a deep throaty exhaust leave a traffic light, I can certainly appreciate the carefully crafted exhaust burble talk to me as it accelerates away on green. We have been in Myrtle Beach a couple times during Mustang week. While everyone else is in the motel room watching TV yours truly can be found outside in a lawn chair watching the thousands of Mustangs parade by. Make America V8 again!!
  15. I would be very leery of buying that inferior quality stuff. It would be nearly impossible to clean up and make presentable.
  16. Nicely done. Very unusual to see any four doors of any make from this era.
  17. You really have done the 1:1 stunner Justice with this one. Great build!
  18. That would indeed be a fun thing to do at some point in the future.
  19. You just might hear a very polite voice asking "would you like to check your oil sir?"
  20. Yep...if you complete the circle of the tire it extends above the fenders. Still cool looking.
  21. When faced with this problem I would glue a layer of .005" plastic to the rim then sand it down until I could press fit the tire in place.
  22. Any dio that could pass for the real world thing like this one does deserves my highest level of respect.
