  1. You had me at Croquet mallet! that sounds kinda fun.... but I dont know how I'd feel about whacking my model w/ a mallet... no matter how badly I built it. But that pontiac is pretty awesome!!!
  2. Whoever this guy is, he is the person who owns the old AF/X Resin's molds. I spoke to him via ebay a few weeks ago
  3. Looks great! Only detail missing now is the upper rear set belts, for a 90-up car, and the speaker grilles. Other than that I dig it!
  4. Man I wish Missing Link had a photobucket or something to see all their parts... I keep hearing about all the awesome stuff they have but dont know about it until I dont need it
  5. Strange how awesome symphony and metal is together isnt it????? I mean, there was Metallica S&M album, and then I later heard Avenged Sevenfold's "City of Evil" album and it had similar qualities
  6. Welcome!
  7. I love the color combo. I did a very subtle bronze w/ white stripes and tan interior for my '74 Barracuda.
  8. I forgot about SEM, Bill... I used to buy their cans when I did small stuff on my cars... haven't done anything in a while. I need it mostly for my mercury, and for the heavy bodywork I did on my rockford files firebird. But I'll be masking off the fine details on that car. The merc.... well not so much. Going for the led sled look.
  9. Great progress! Love the detail going in to it
  10. Just thought I'd get some opinions. I've got a can of duplicolor high build primer, and it really does *build* like I expect it to. I am not really liking the results I'm getting from it. whats everyone else using for a high build primer? I just dont find it cost effective enough to break out the paint guns and use my automotive primer.
  11. I traded some parts with a guy on a facebook page and I have just about everything to complete this now... but it's back on hold due to other projects and overtime at work. I'm excited about finally maybe being able to finish this thing though!!!
  12. Gonna have to put my in progress stuff up for a while. Doing some overtime at work again.
  13. Knew a guy who had a '67 Ford wagon with the Police Interceptor 428 and an automatic. It was an emergency use vehicle that had the spotlight and all. He used it for many years to pull his tiny racecar.
  14. Yep... I would have loved to have completed AND competed last year... but I got bamboozled by someone in a parts trade... Oh well... the General Mayhem would have probably broke down in true Roadkill fashion anyhow! haha Hopefully this year will turn out decent for me...
  15. That part you just linked is actually Missing Link Resins
  16. Thanks for the reassurement. I just signed up and learned they use paypal so I feel better about that. Went ahead and ordered my turbos!
  17. This looks like the body you did the weathered wood tutorial on, correct?
  18. That would be interesting to know... if you find out please post up
  19. I spoke w/ Jeff Ballard of Motor City Resin Casters via email and he offers the stock flat hood!
  20. I want to get some Hobby Design turbo's..... I'm leery about ordering stuff straight from overseas though...
  21. Bob Thanks for digging up the name.... I looked that seller up and contacted him.... turns out he was the guy to buy all the AF/X Resin molds.... he's been slowly repairing them and selling on ebay. Said he hasn't made the hood in years but will look into it. I suggested with the reissue of this kit they may be a hot item.
  22. Yep that's another one on the list...
