  1. Excellent work by all the modelers. Interesting to see how most of the models are on a base.
  2. Getting a head start on a 71 and 73 but if I finish them too soon I have t last ten more in the supply chain.
  3. Thanks Cobraman. That banana yellow looks really bright under the lights.
  4. Lots of nice Mustangs from our club at the Washington DC new car auto show. The display is always a hit. We have been the only classic car club invited year after year. The new Shelby is part of the FORD display.
  5. Pretty rad man (says the 60 yr old dude). Paul had an incredible collection of Saleen Mustangs and was not just a pretty boy actor - a true car guy.
  6. Very cool idea. Do you have a different Iight bar?
  7. I do not buy much PE but I suppose someone on the board could procure your items for you and ship them if pehaps you paid in advance. It's probably no more risky than ordering from a vendor. The US shipping portion should be pretty low. Just a thought.

At least I am getting a little closer. I created a Gurney circle from the more aerodynamic kit bubble which is on the Lemans cars. In researching the #98 it's amazing how many of the diecast (Exoto e.g.) are incorrect when it comes to details like which side the gas cap is on. I hope mine turn out half as nice as yours.
  9. I think you nailed it. Very nice. Looks like the decals are slighly different (white letters vs. yellow)
  10. That was pretty incredible. That is crazy fast.
  11. Post a picture of the one on Saturday to show people what can be done with it with some mods.
  12. Nice to see you are into Muscle cars and especially Mustangs and my favorites the 71-73s.
  13. A/C units seem to be like a lot of things lacking under the hoods of 60-70's kits. You know, stuff like shock tower braces, washer fluid reservoirs, brake boosters and master cylinders, coolant overflow tanks, voltage regulators, coils, starter relays, lower radiator hoses, stuff like that. At least some of these parts started showing up in newer kits in the 80's but of course never in any resissues of older kits that did not have any of these "extras."
  14. Up for trade if anyone is interested. I know I know they are 1/43 scale are just need an hour to complete (windshield and some trim) but PM if anyone of you Ferrari guys are interested in these factory painted kits. I promise not to post pictures of the Ford's that beat Ferrari at Lemans etc.
  15. Pretty cool indeed. Perhaps some doll house bottles or cans in the interior would add to the theme. Is anything in the cooler?
  16. Have you seen Daisy Duke lately? Not to be mean but some age better than others. Christy Brinkley is one of the few exceptions pushing 70 and still looks hot. What does Barb look like now? I'd look in the mirror before throwing too many stones.
  17. Gramps46 had a spare one and I did not have this variation so ................ Thanks Gary
  18. You're welcome. Good luck in your search. Some of the $15 diecasts out there seem to have decent wheels and tires these days too.
  19. Is anyone dong a racing version and what are you using as an interior? BTW this is. Modified Mach1 body long before the 69 Boss kit came out. It also has the Russian grille. As you can tell I never got past the primer stage and may sway the hood out with the one from the new kit.
  20. No but I'd put what you are looking for in the subject line so people will read if interested or they can skip over.
  21. Well, there's a good reason for not sending any more product. You cannot blame the caster.
  22. I hope it all worked out in the end. Norman (R&Mod MD) and Harold Bradford (HRM) are not getting any younger and they prefer to deal direct with the customer. Norm has stopped doing shows because he cannot make random stuff to sell and keep his regular mail order customers happy. Brad sells at a fe shows but with trying to keep up with resellers and his regular customers it's not easy. As we saw with Modelhaus there may not be anyone to take over for them so if you are on the fence about buying something I would not wait too long. It may sound cold but at some point we will be stuck with only Mitey-mouse knock offs.
  23. A vendor had lots of kits at the Philly NNL for $12. I picked up another MPC 73 Mustang.
  24. Excellent job. Is it built box stock?
