  1. Gramps46 had a spare one and I did not have this variation so ................ Thanks Gary
  2. You're welcome. Good luck in your search. Some of the $15 diecasts out there seem to have decent wheels and tires these days too.
  3. Is anyone dong a racing version and what are you using as an interior? BTW this is. Modified Mach1 body long before the 69 Boss kit came out. It also has the Russian grille. As you can tell I never got past the primer stage and may sway the hood out with the one from the new kit.
  4. No but I'd put what you are looking for in the subject line so people will read if interested or they can skip over.
  5. Well, there's a good reason for not sending any more product. You cannot blame the caster.
  6. I hope it all worked out in the end. Norman (R&Mod MD) and Harold Bradford (HRM) are not getting any younger and they prefer to deal direct with the customer. Norm has stopped doing shows because he cannot make random stuff to sell and keep his regular mail order customers happy. Brad sells at a fe shows but with trying to keep up with resellers and his regular customers it's not easy. As we saw with Modelhaus there may not be anyone to take over for them so if you are on the fence about buying something I would not wait too long. It may sound cold but at some point we will be stuck with only Mitey-mouse knock offs.
  7. A vendor had lots of kits at the Philly NNL for $12. I picked up another MPC 73 Mustang.
  8. Excellent job. Is it built box stock?
  9. Is the Boss 429 engine going to stay?
  10. Sorry. He posts pictures on several pages in English and Spanish but I guess not his personal page. Search for Scale auto group pr and Los Amigos Modelismo 1/24 Plastic On Facebook. Lyle Willits was not at the show otherwise I'd direct you to his Fotki page.
  11. Well, not that close. It's gas and does not put out much heat beyond a few feet.
  12. Would be nice to have the location and date in the subject line.
  13. 2019 Philly show was just as good (maybe better) than last year with more room for the models and vendors. And what's not to like about seeing four of the cars bending driven hard around the football field size parking lot. Here are just a few pictures. Marcos Cruz posted a lot on Facebook.
  14. Good tip. I think I had some build to go back and look at.. As for the model, very nice build you do not see a lot.
  15. It's a 70 Coupe I converted from the 70 Boss 302 kit. Not sure if I will give it the Grande treatment. I have not done a vinyl roof before.
  16. A cobra no - just an oversized MG. . I was inspired by your King Cobra and I had to do minimal sanding of mold lines. While I was at it I also compared it to the Fujumi kit which of course is not a real 427 but a modern compromise. I am toying with cutting out the trunk but that would require sacrificing a good body. When the other one is ready for primer I'll post side by side pictures are there are distinct differences between the two bodies. Suffice it to say the Fujumi engine is shameful and needs some replacement parts to make it presentable. I figured the paint was warm enough being inside near the fireplace.

    GT-40

The decal s actually wider than it is was a flat surface and curved so it's not as bad as it looks.
  18. So lately I have experiemted with painting outside in 39f degrees and there does not seem to be any adverse effects. This is just Testors flat primer on a plastic body (or another coat after sanding) but I was surprised there's no difference that I can see compared to the normal recommend warmer temps. The model and paint are warm from being inside, I dash outside and spray for 15-30 seconds and go back inside. Haas anyone else tried something this crazy?

    GT-40

Oh yes indeed very nice. Once I get a batch of Mustangs done hopefully this summer I'l go on a painting binge and at least get paint on all the 66 Lemans entries. It should less intimidating than trying to build a fleet of 427 Cobras like 65slotcar is doing. Thanks to Gramps46 I added a few more Revell/Fujumi GT40's to the unbuilt stack.
  20. I like it a lot. Perhaps now you can do an after or as when new version. Has the real car been restored yet?
  21. So when are those VRM decals going to be ready for the rest of us. The website has not been updated since 2015.
  22. Very nice. Mel Gibson would be proud.
  23. Darn unleaded gas. With that six pack the cats would have to go.
  24. Not familar with that kit. Paint is very nice. Was a dual exhaust system included? Sadly the old Mustang kits of that era only had resonators and no oval mufflers.
  25. They were quite the couple. I still have a LIfeLike set and various cars but have not gotten it out in many years. Same goes for the Sizzlers track.
