  1. Agree 100% and that's coming from two Mustang guys.
  2. Those kits have survived pretty well for their age and still look very nice.
  3. It would seem to be a pretty easy tool modification from the 67 fastback into to a coupe and convertible. Who would have thought we would see a 69/70 Shelby ragtop so there is always hope.
  4. I would love to see a decent 71-73 Mustang since all we have is the rehashed 73 MPC fastback without proper Mach1 markings or a correct engine and a pitiful and inaccurate chassis and engine compartment. The 71 Boss was nothing more than a 73 body with a 71 type grill and some decals. As far as scale, I could care less if it was 1/24 or 1/25, just make an accurate kit without hood vents.
  5. Mofobow@hotmail.com HIs decals are very nice. Check out his Fotki page.
  6. The same chassis ws used for several years of the early Mustangs.
  7. I wonder if more were sold because of the sidepipes. Nice job.
  8. I hav never found a real Minuteman Mustang drag car like the 71 Mustang pictured on the box art. Id love to see someone do the decals for the Auxier prostock. It has the standard grill also so it was not a Mach1. I scored a set of MM reproduction decals but of course I'll be doing a fictitious car which is okay unless anyone can come up with any photos to prove otherwise.
  9. Factoring in shipping cost it make it prohibitive to realistically sell them for much. You best best are local swap meets where you might get $1 a copy. I'm guessing the people you see selling single issues for $5 or more almost never sell any. It's come to the point where people are cutting out 2-3 pages and trying to sell them but even they are way overpriced. I probably have a few thousand car magazines and I'll either give them away or toss them out after I go through them and cut out some special articles. Sorry I had a better answer but they just weigh too much to sell them except locally.
  10. Excellent work by all the modelers. Interesting to see how most of the models are on a base.
  11. Getting a head start on a 71 and 73 but if I finish them too soon I have t last ten more in the supply chain.
  12. Thanks Cobraman. That banana yellow looks really bright under the lights.
  13. Lots of nice Mustangs from our club at the Washington DC new car auto show. The display is always a hit. We have been the only classic car club invited year after year. The new Shelby is part of the FORD display.
  14. Pretty rad man (says the 60 yr old dude). Paul had an incredible collection of Saleen Mustangs and was not just a pretty boy actor - a true car guy.
  15. Very cool idea. Do you have a different Iight bar?
  16. I do not buy much PE but I suppose someone on the board could procure your items for you and ship them if pehaps you paid in advance. It's probably no more risky than ordering from a vendor. The US shipping portion should be pretty low. Just a thought.

At least I am getting a little closer. I created a Gurney circle from the more aerodynamic kit bubble which is on the Lemans cars. In researching the #98 it's amazing how many of the diecast (Exoto e.g.) are incorrect when it comes to details like which side the gas cap is on. I hope mine turn out half as nice as yours.
  18. I think you nailed it. Very nice. Looks like the decals are slighly different (white letters vs. yellow)
  19. That was pretty incredible. That is crazy fast.
  20. Post a picture of the one on Saturday to show people what can be done with it with some mods.
  21. Nice to see you are into Muscle cars and especially Mustangs and my favorites the 71-73s.
  22. A/C units seem to be like a lot of things lacking under the hoods of 60-70's kits. You know, stuff like shock tower braces, washer fluid reservoirs, brake boosters and master cylinders, coolant overflow tanks, voltage regulators, coils, starter relays, lower radiator hoses, stuff like that. At least some of these parts started showing up in newer kits in the 80's but of course never in any resissues of older kits that did not have any of these "extras."
  23. Up for trade if anyone is interested. I know I know they are 1/43 scale are just need an hour to complete (windshield and some trim) but PM if anyone of you Ferrari guys are interested in these factory painted kits. I promise not to post pictures of the Ford's that beat Ferrari at Lemans etc.
  24. Pretty cool indeed. Perhaps some doll house bottles or cans in the interior would add to the theme. Is anything in the cooler?
