This cheered me up. Not really but persnally I would hold onto at least my best 50 builds (If I have that many) and would liquidate 90% of the common stuff just in case I live to 90 and can still see. At 60 I am already thinking about what to do with my kits so goal number number one is to build as many as possible in hte next ten years (retiring in 7 months) and see how it goes from there. I have more of a problem with diecast then models (ten times more) so I would hold onto the best and sell or donate the rest if no one in my family wants them.

I think of this when I watch the shows about diehard collectors (cars, bicycles, toys, junk, etc.) that they are reluctant to sell almost ANYTHING even with warehouses and brands full of treasures (aka junk to most) despite being in their late 70's or 80s. Selling off a model collection should not too difficult but the proceeds may be pennies on the dollar so I would only advise to try to sell to another collector and not someone that is just going to flip the good stuff for a tremendous profit. Since I build primarily onlt one brand and model of car - my collection could end up getting donated to a museum specializing in that kind of car. Or they may say no thanks and then let the bidding begin.

More than a few of us have stalled builds. My kids love Mustangs but have not shown any real interest in building models. I better get busy - you never know when the clock will run out.

The scoops look much better. The fiberglas on the real cars had fitment problems too.

Trim the decals as close as you can or else they will look like giant decals.

Well will never see this one again. Picked it up at a swap meet. Only missing the kit wheels and the gas caps which I have.

Having a good time and got to the local show too. I think this qualified for the large diorama class. Many more models inside and a very good swap meet. Also ran into Jerry Frazier from Midnight Modelers.

I am about 14 hours away visiting my mother but I plan to check out the show in Largo FL tomorrow. Have fun Mama's boys.

Yes we all have models we built years ago and could use some freshening up. When I build the 200 or so unbuilt ones I have I will get to those older builds which by then may be 40+ years old.

Yes - that would work quite well but I would be happy with about 30 mufflers. I may get Brad from HRM to do them.

Looks all shined up fo a show. Maybe a air cleaner and caution fan decal to add some color to the engine compartment along with picking out the tops of the shocks (Koni red/orange) and I think the tail lights have a metal trim around them and the gas cap "decal" is gold. I really like the wheels although the 67 style wheels are nice too.

Looks pretty good in pictures for sure. I still have not built a street version as figuring on how to paint it (separate pieces) or partially assembled is where I'm stuck.

I am not much of a book reader (except car stuff) but I read A Higher Call cover to cover and enjoyed it very much. I highly recommend it as well as it gives you a very different perspective about the men who fought on both sides knowing their lives could be taken at any moment by someone not very different from themselves.
