  1. Very nice. Looks ready to race a Ford.
  2. A guy from Sweden with the answers no less. Is this a great website or what?
  3. Are Facebook or Twitter the moderators? You cannot make a joke these days. So sad.
  4. Shades of blue. Interesting Fred Cady did GT350R decals and included the R which was never put on a car. The R model was the race version but the side decals were the same as the street GT350. The stripes on the top were painted.
  5. Maybe Brad is trying to copy the typical Japanese instructions.
  6. Maybe someone has posted pics of the real car which is in the Petersen museum in Los Angeles. I could not find any recents pics with the front end off. Kind of sad to see it hidden in the basement.
  7. Cool retro decals. Is it based on a real car or just your imagination?
  8. Sorry two of the pics are dark. Not vet good lighting in the pits.
  9. Given the room it takes to store them perhaps it was not a bad idea. A lot more people would see them and appreciate them too. Assuming my kids do not want my built models when I am gone I hope someday they end up somewhere on display. Maybe I should get in line as there is a Mustang museum that is opening next year that might get a lot of donations.
  10. Came out looking really nice for a factor kit bashed orphan.
  11. You can either buy an aftermarket set (Cady on Ebay) or put you request in the Wanted forum. I bet someone has a spare set.
  12. I cannot really think of any. I built all sorts of kits as a kid but nothing that I am really that nostalgic about. I would say 95% of the kits I have I bought in the last 35 years so I missed the chance to buy any of the annuals in the 60's and 70's. Over the years I have bought some older unbuilt kits or glue bombs if the price was reasonable. There are very few kits I do not have that I would not mind adding to the collection (Mangusta comes to mind) but all in all I can say no RAGRETS so maybe I will get that tattooed on my chest.
  13. I built the Testors and Mauri/Tilt ones a long time ago. Love the color and it's not crazy at all. Great job.
  14. Are you sure that is a color shift paint? I know Testors has some funky metal flake colors in the craft aisle that look similar to the color shift ones.
  15. Yes - they were the basis for the early kits. I bought this fastback someone had painted the body red.
  16. I might have been able to save you time on those wide fenders.
  17. Nice color and I like the wheels. I have more sets of those than I know what to do with.
  18. Use a coupon. The regular price was $9 at Michaels.
  19. I used Testors black metallic as the base coat and Tamiya clear after the Colorshift coats.
  20. Anyone one else tried it. I had good results spraying this Mustang Cobra.
  21. Nice job. I have the conversion kit and decals as well to do a Cobra II.
  22. Youpey I think you covered just about everything. It sounds like with the Revell versions you could build a 66 Shelby convertible (only six were made) but not be able to do a stock convertible.
  23. I'm guessing I built this in the late 1980's.. I think everything else before that was not very good and was redone or added to the parts bins. It's the 30th anniverssary of the Maryland Automotive Modelers Association this month and that is when I got back into building pretty regularly. Now if I just built six models a year that would be 180. I think I'm a little short of that but I do have a lot of 1/43 kits so I'm probably at 100 or so total in the various display cases.
  24. That model explains a lot. LOL
  25. Nice. I see you and raise you one. LOL
