After a much anticipated wait, any chance Gregg can share some pictures of issue # 206 that went to the printer earlier this month? Any word on if it will be available to purchase for non-subscribers and where? Anxious to see the mag and do not have a local hobby shop to pick it up at.

The mother load...........
mikemodeler replied to Zen's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Likely won't find one buyer to take it all unless the seller is willing to settle for 30-40 cents on the dollar. There is so much there that honestly it would be in her best interest to separate the different scale diecast from the toys and plastic models and try to sell it that way. -

2020 Round2 Car Kit News & Announcements
mikemodeler replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Nothing on that list will get my wallet opened. I know it's asking a lot, but they could look through their tooling and find something that hasn't been around in awhile and really make a bunch of modelers happy. -
Tower Hobbies show the new full bumper kit arriving late December for $27.99 and the older split bumper kit in stock for $15.99.

Ollie's strike again

Might grab one of the 2006 Camaros for the wheels and if the IH4300 is there, one of those too. I had my eye on the 55 Corvette because of the wheels, anyone have a picture of them? -

That explains it! I will have to try again when I get back home this weekend. Might have to get a IH 4300! -

Really? I was there on Saturday and all they had was a pallet near the toys with the Corvettes, Camaros and 300C's -
Thanks to all who took pictures and shared them here for the rest of us who couldn't attend!

Thanks for sharing! A lot of great models and cool to see so many faces from companies I have spent a lot of lunch money at! -
I might be in for one of those Camaro's, will wait to see how horrible the body warp is before dropping my $$ on one though.

Yes, but only three weeks in August. LOL! I just returned from SoCal and it was eye opening to see how fast some of those fires developed and spread. My prayers to those in the affected area and hope the winds die down and the firefighters get a chance to put the fires out or at least contain them.

As a member of Ollie's Army, I got an email with a 15% off coupon good for any purchase, so I will be hitting up my Ollie's this weekend to see what is left. -

Any NEW kits ?
mikemodeler replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Well in the good old days the model companies could spend money on tons of new tools because they knew they would sell those kits to all different kinds of retailers and end users. Today, that isn't the case and considering it is likely a $100,000 + investment for a new tool, they have to be careful as the market is limited and profits are thinner. Be glad that we are still getting model kits and even if they are modified re-issues, it beats having nothing. -

These do build up nicely and fairly easy. I get the subject might not be of interest to you but there could be some young modelers who do find them attractive. I like using the wheels and tires out of kits like this to give an updated look to an older vehicle. -
Off road tires
mikemodeler replied to MoparOrNoCar94's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
The Revell Jeep Rubicon tires scale out to about 37" if memory serves me right. Danny at Scenes Unlimited used to have some bigger off road tires, if you don't see them on his website, drop him a note, he may be able to cast some for you if the molds are still usable.
