  1. Interesting color combination, that brown doesn't do much for me but then again, the car manufacturers used to have some crazy colored interiors before they went with just three colors like today! Like the way you have the hood opened, any particular reason why you chose to have it that way?
  2. MCW Resins has both a Ford and Chevy L-6 engine, $10 each, much cheaper than a kit.
  3. Considering this is an American built vehicle, kind of an interesting choice for Academy. My extended family has had several Hyundai vehicles and they are/were nearly bulletproof. I might have to get one just because it is different but yet something I see around town more than I do 69 Camaros or 70 Superbirds!
  4. I like that JD wrecker Matt, but it sure would be nice if somehow we could have that wrecker bed! I am struggling with which bed to use- a scratchbuilt one or the one from the recent Peterbilt issue? I agree on the decals, but there are some sheets out there if you want to go another direction, I know mine won't be a Coca Cola rig!
  5. Darn it, I was wanting to get one of his 6 cyl engines for a Bronco I am working on. The old saying is true when it comes to resin- buy it when you see because it might not be there tomorrow.
  6. All of his stuff is on Facebook. His email is robertburnsjr101@yahoo.com
  7. Likely drawn as an art project by some fifth graders. Hopefully the kit is better detailed than the artwork. Might have to grab one and build it as a wrecker.
  8. Read that earlier and the theme song to the Dukes of Hazzard popped into my head...."Just a couple of good ol' boys, never meaning no harm.." !
  9. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ What he said! Outstanding work and attention to detail is incredible.
  10. Patience Grasshopper......
  11. It's rather obvious by your bloviating that you have much more insight, knowledge and understanding than any of us that have been around here and this hobby for decades, not to mention you must have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so therefore we must all bow at your feet and admit defeat. The funny thing is, if you know all so much, what was the point of posting your question/statement in the first place?
  12. Depends on the vehicle and the person measuring/photographing it, really. Nothing is foolproof to a talented fool.
  13. I took the liberty of answering your questions because the more you speculate, the worse you paint the situation as being.
  14. Greg's resin is up there with the best of them. I have a couple of his Camaro bodies and they are very nice. You know what they say about resin stuff- buy when you see it, might not be there later!
  15. Looks like the bank account had enough money for a nice set of wheels/tires and an engine dress up kit! Nice work!
  16. Those can be found in the Revell Ramcharger issue, it was recently released so it shouldn't be hard to find.
  17. Welcome to our plastic playground! The work you have shown is outstanding and truly the work of a craftsman. The details you are building into this kit and showing us how you did it are incredible, likely beyond the talent some of us have! I will be watching this closely, love the subject!
  18. Really enjoying watching this one come together and seeing the detailed scratch building. I am always in awe of those that can take a pile of plastic stock and create masterpieces like this!
  19. It's been awhile but it was a simple process. Go to his website and there should be an order form. You might want to email him to make sure what you want is in stock and if he has anything new you might want. His product and service were great, you won't be disappointed.
  20. That is one nice truck, and the model ain't bad either! LOL! It's nice having the 1:1 in the driveway for reference, you nailed it ! And for future reference, there are many here (myself included) who would engage you in trades for parts needed to complete a build. It is a great way to meet fellow modelers and keep you from buying a $30 kit for just one part, and something we all have done.
  21. Great variety there, liking that VW Camper and the Toyota pickup.
  22. Those look great, especially the T/A. That pickup in white is the first one I have seen done that way, definitely looks different in a light color like that.
  23. Nice work, really wish someone would offer up a kit beyond the resin cast bank, similar to what you have done, could even have a pick up version.
  24. Gonna look great when you get it done, love that color!
