Hindsight is always 20/20. I am sure that there are some people out there who, had they known how cheap Revell was going to go for in bankruptcy, would have put together a group to buy it. The problem, as I see it, is that ongoing operations would have required a decent amount of capital. New product development isn't cheap either and I am sure the new owners are aware of that fact. What new kits we get, what old kits get re-issued, and what current kits continue on will all be revealed in the coming months. In the meantime, we need to get busy building what we have!

Given the nature of how they conducted business, I suspect it will take Don and Carol awhile to sort and process the orders. Their policy of "first in, first out" is a great way to run a business and will probably be the way they do these last orders. I do hope, for their sake as well as ours, that they identify the customers with multiple orders and combine them into one shipment. This makes so much sense and will probably simplify things for all involved. I think they truly want to retire from running a business, especially after the last 5 years, but Don is a craftsman who wants to continue sharing his skills so I am excited to see what he has in store for us. Some have speculated that they might do limited runs of kits and that would be fine with me, it will be interesting to see if they also dig out old molds and run any of their old kits too!

I see what you mean Bill, some cool stuff there to consider! I wonder if I buy one of those detail sets for a 57 Corvette if mine will turn out as nice as the one on the MCG page? Nice job on the Corvette and it's always cool to see your builds featured!

Thanks for sharing, looks like a lot of nice models and a great variety too. Hated that I missed the show, had some house stuff to do and it was my anniversary so I had to do stuff closer to home. Next year!

I placed three orders, because I kept finding more stuff I wanted, in the span of 40 minutes. First order was 24095, last order was 24730. I think Don and Carol will be busy processing orders until Christmas if they have over a thousand orders! I am sure there are many like me who placed multiple orders, but again I think they are overwhelmed with orders and will be busy for awhile. Glad to see their product get bought up. I wondered if they had any left over stock and we all found out the answer! Hopefully they can finally get on with their lives and enjoy retirement.

Good Idea Andy, I will do that this week. Who knows, could be something of interest for them. Of course if Round2 would re-issue the Jeep it would help them sell more!

Have you searched Facebook and eBay? There are many companies that sell there and may or may not have a website too. Not sure what you are looking for but try searching those places with a bit more detailed information and you are sure to find something.

I placed three orders, as I kept remembering stuff AFTER I placed my first order. Not sure if it was a sound decision as it cost me more in shipping but I did get some items I wanted. I did email Don and Carol and told them to combine my three orders and use the extra shipping money for their much deserved vacation fund.

I was able to get on the Modelhaus website and make some last purchases for items that I forgot/missed the last time. There were a few things I wasn't able to buy as they were sold out, but overall happy with myself. I was hoping there would be more kits and conversions still available, but who knows, maybe Don will be able to create some new stuff that I really want !

Made it in and spent $130! Tried to go back and get some wheels and they were sold out! Tried again and was able to get some wheels, not the American 200S Daisy mags though.

Don and Carol must be sleeping in, I have been trying to get on for the last 7 minutes and can't get in!

I occasionally have that same 404 error code Bill, not sure what it is or how to explain it. I come back a few minutes later and it's all fixed, so I figure there is some kind of glitch in the forum because I do not have similar issues with other websites. I am using an 11 year old Dell laptop with an old version of Windows, so it could be me, but I don't think it is.

I went there yesterday on my way to the airport. His prices were hard to figure out- the new Scout II kit was $26.95 but an AMT 2017 Camaro kit was $31.95. The number of NASCAR kits were the most that I have seen since a swap meet here in the Carolinas. I didn't see anything I could not live without, especially at the prices shown. Old time feel? Yes.

The are a closeout store. Inventory is constantly changing as they buy distressed or bankrupt store inventories. Nothing glamorous, just some bargains if you shop around.They have been known to buy model kit inventories and blow them out cheap anywhere from $7.99 and up for kits sometimes still on the shelf at hobby shops and retailers.

I was at an Ollie's this past Saturday. They had a sign up and were already advertising the TRU closeout sale. There were still some leftover Lindberg model kits on display, but did not see any of the Revell or AMT kits they had earlier this year.

A show on a Friday afternoon? That is a new one for me. What type of venue is it being held in? First time show?

I think that none of the tires are available until the website is activated, something detailed in the message from Don and Carol. The good news is that we finally have pictures of the tires, now if we can get dimensions......! I have enough tires to last me three lifetimes, but I am like a kid on Christmas morning when I see some new ones available and Fireball Modelworks and Scenes Unlimited will tell you what my weakness is when it comes to tires!

Bill, Were you on the tire website or the Modelhaus website? I was able to see the tire website but as the letter from Don and Carol states, the tires are being done by their son Chris and he will activate his website once he is ready ( I will guess that means when he has some inventory built up). I can see the Modelhaus website being BUSY this Saturday morning and won't be long before the inventory is sold out. Interested to see what they have left.

Those trucks in real life would have rusty rear cab mounts so it was common to see them sagging like that! Nice weathering job.
