  2. Quite beautiful!
  3. Yes Ohio, the tasteless state!
  4. Well I would be we are on lock down here and out of supplies! LOL
  5. Very nicely done K5, well built and clean That's funny about the year. Since the kit doesn't have turn signals up front, I'd say it's a 71 with a 70 bumper?
  6. Never heard of anything, but those panels could be easy enough to make.
  7. I know you’ve seen here for some time, but your not the forum police.
  8. Good looking builds. I decided to mold the tail lights in to look more realistic. Also added door pins to help align and hold the doors in place. I stripped the chrome on the other trim pieces too. I’ll redo that with Molotow after paint.
  9. This^^^^^, I make my own using leftover scrap styrene tubing ....
  10. Well now, that does look good! Well done weathering and a nice clean style.
  11. My Covid-up date: Still on the body work. Going bumperless so the splash guards are on and smoothed. Working on door skin alignment. I made some braces to keep the body safe and straight. Also found if I build the chassis in two pieces I can assemble it inside the body.
  12. Listen to this back in HS, thought it was pretty cool then...
  13. So let's assume most of us are on lockdown/stay at home orders, there are ways to pass the time, one being a hobby. Ours happens to be Model Car Building. You may not be able to go out shopping, but I'm sure we all have enough supplies at home we could build with what we have... So whether you have a new build to start or a build you'd like to finish, I thought it would be cool to share them in one spot. Feel free to post what your working on and why and just update this thread once in awhile to show that cabin fever hasn't taken over your hobby room. Here is something I Started just before the crisis started, I will work on it off and on during this time. It's a Aurora Aston DB4, inspired by another builder here. And because I think they are a great little Hot Rod, also known as the "Gentleman's Race Car" The first thing I did was straighten the body and add a small bit of styrene to the front edge of the bonnet, as they say over seas. I am working on the engine next.
  14. Ambitious? I'd say so. Nice start and technique...
  15. AJ, all smiles before qualifying. Wonder what he was like after? Nicely done conversion...
  16. Welcome, from OHIO
  17. Very nicely done! Your mods make all the difference to a really awful kit. The red and white theme looks great too!
  18. The Camaro is really ready for some paint! I modified the rear seat to cover the wheel wells...
  19. Not much detail just a little shelf model. I have a few things to finish up and paint. I polished the glass and hope to tint it to match the paint. The headers are scratch made with styrene and shrink wrap. That scoop is a modified Impala piece.
  20. This one is ready for paint now....
  21. Waiting on paint....
  22. OK, it's official, I hate you! ^ ^ ^ ^ Just kidding, I'm actually jealous......
  23. Question I’d like to build mine without bumpers. If I mold the splash pans in can I still install the chassis? The instructions imply otherwise.
  24. The Aurora Kit is real nice, the Revell kit is a copy but the molds must not have been freshened up. I have the body work complete and in primer. If I get motivated I'll post pix. I have too many projects to paint as it is, but then again, I am Social Distancing myself....
  25. Built this kit a couple times. Will enjoy watching yours...
