If you saw this one on the "Workbench" you'll know I started is about 3 1/2 weeks ago. I call it Slow Roll'n Low (You'll can look up the meaning of the phrase). Waylon Jennings is one of my favorite artists and I thought this build would make a quick shelf model and kind of break up the monotony. I started with parts from two Revell 40 Ford standards and some spare parts laying around. I plan was to use the Silver Leaf as a base for candy blue, but after seeing it on the body I decided to keep it. The manifold for the Blower was made by modifying a stock piece. And the belts were just adjusted to fit. Molotow Chrome was used for touch up and painting the smaller pieces. The tail lights are from a 63 Corvette...

Just about finished...

Thanks Guy, Ray and David. You too DJ glad you chimed in, your engine knowledge and approval means alot.

Pretty simple interior, Krylon grey with semi gloss clear and the dash is the same silver leaf as the body. Molotow chrome, BMF and black wash were used also. Instead of placing the newspaper decal, for a more realistic look, I cut it out and wrinkled it a bit then glued it inplace.

Progress on the 40, the engine, bay and interior are nearly complete. I intended to do a candy blue over the silver leaf but know I'm thinking clear coating and accent the wheels blue.

Must be a curve

That's a good thought. I kept the rod high because of the connecting point. I would have to put a significant bend in the steering rod, but it could be done.

Great work here. I've used that techniche with the blades to trim BMF also. -
Coming along nicely. Necessity, the mother of fabrication, or something like that...

After fiddling with the grill for some time I decided a new direction was needed. And with a donated 58 Edsel grill this is what I came up with. Also getting a few more things sorted out...

I saw a picture of a Blown Flatty and thought that would be perfect! So with a little imagineering and spare parts this is what I came up with. I think it will work just fine...

The way I understand it, the tire business was taken over by a son. From what I read in an email, this would be considered a new product.

Looking sharp, I like the right side 3/4 pic. You could detail the wheels some also, a little chrome on the lugnuts and maybe some blash wash perhaps.

This game sucks
