Very, very nice! I remember my Dad always had Dupli-Color paint for each Chevy he owned. Great memory to have and happy that your Dad got to see it.

Too bad you had to go through all that work but the model looks great. I had a couple of Slixx funny car decals that fell apart on me in the past too. Otherwise their product is usually pretty good.

Is anyone watching the 70th anniversary F1 race?
TonyK replied to STYRENE-SURFER's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
When one of my favorite drivers in F1 says the race is boring I realize it's not just me. I watch every race and it's just sad. I'm a fan of every type of racing and the BTCC is pretty exciting but personally I'm gonna give the Australian Supercars one notch ahead. It might be the cars that do it for me but both series are very similar in how they race. -
Tamiya Porsche 911 GT2

I like how you've come up with your own colors. I have this kit but haven't got around to starting it yet. Tamiya kits are great but so time consuming with all the details included. I have to be in the right mood. It seems you have no problem getting these models done. Thanks for sharing. -
Tamiya Porsche 911 GT1

Yes, those decals are a bit crazy but it turned out well. -
I assume the frustrating part was the decals as a Tamiya kit always brings me pleasure. Your finished model looks real good to me.

You did a very nice job on both of these kits and your weathering is perfect. I'm building my first Ebbro model now, the Crepe Mobile, and as you pointed out it's a quality kit. -
What a great find and only a $1. Always looking for figures and those are something different. You did a nice job altering them.

Well, after all that work you produced an excellent model. I think I've built a couple of Airfix models in my time and if I recall they aren't that great. You did good!

Very nice! Was just reading about this car in Motorsport magazine. Looks like the pics in the article......and in 1/43rd scale. Such patience. -

That's different. Very nice job on the Midget!

I rarely ever got junk email for all the years past but....... When I got Sirius radio a little over a year ago I suddenly have at least 10 a day. I've not signed up with anything else these past couple of years so I'm blaming them. And I hit "block sender" on these every day and every day I still get them.

I like this! Great pictures too. -
Always liked this unique car and you did a great job! 1/43rd scale are not seen often but nothing wrong with them.

Started this last winter since I didn't need to paint the body. Took me this long to finish it because I worked on it off and on without much enthusiasm. I mainly posted it to tell fellow builders it's not that great of a kit. Maybe someone else enjoyed it more. Body doesn't fit well at all and you have to line up pieces that fit onto it and drill your own holes. Decals went on well.

I decided to stop being fat, drunk and stupid and build this model. This is a Jimmy Flintstone resin kit. He supplies everything you see here and it's the typical quality you would expect from him. The usual cleanup is required and then primer and paint. Spent a lot of time hand painting the letters and symbols and had to do it twice to cover the black. It's all raised slightly on the bodywork so that gives you a decent guide to paint. Still remember the theater I went to when this movie first came out. One of my all time favorites!

I've had the same thing happen with peanut butter on the mouse trap. One time I saw a slug eating the peanut butter and that didn't set it off. Wonder if that's your situation?

My best friend in grade school was left handed and I always had to sit to his right in the cafeteria because of his upturned elbow when he ate. Used to kid him when he wrote since he had to keep lifting his hand to see what he had written.
