FedEx. I've had this happen before where I look at the tracking and it tells me when it will be delivered and then I don't get it. The log shows where the package is and this time it's been sitting at the local facility and now says delivery is pending. When am I going to get it? This has happened before when life was normal so you can't blame it on the virus. My wife has told me a number of times that her work place has problems with FedEx but UPS is great. I've witnessed the same with home deliveries.

Alfa Romeo 8C 2300- 1/12 Italeri Kit!
TonyK replied to jaymcminn's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
Wow! The weathering is great! Enjoyed looking at your pictures. -
Ohhhh that's nice. Happy to see someone else not wire the engine on a dragster. I don't do it very often anymore and looking at your model it doesn't detract from all the rest of your great work. Thanks for sharing.

The World of Speed museum has closed permanently. This is a local museum that opened 5 years ago and has continued to amaze me with the displays of cars they have brought in. I've been a member these past 5 years also and this news has gutted me.

Always liked him. Made me laugh a lot but he was also good as a serious actor. Stiller and Meara were such a fun duo.

Enjoyed Little Richard as a performer and really liked that he was in the Mystery Alaska movie. That was a surprise and a nice addition to the movie just seeing him again.

Haven't been able to buy dishwasher detergent the last couple of weeks. Grocery store had empty shelves again yesterday. What's up with that?! I use the powdered kind but didn't see the tablets/pods either. Wife went to a different store today and said the shelves were empty there too. Things you would never give a second thought about and now all of a sudden it's another toilet paper fiasco.

Hey, I just finished one of these and didn't enjoy myself. Chassis was warped and a couple of the roll cage pieces were broken. Glad you enjoyed your build and you did a nice job.

Dolphins Hall of Fame coach Don Shula dies at 90
TonyK replied to slusher's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Big fan of Don Shula back in the day. Hated it when the Jets beat Baltimore but he had great success with the Dolphins. I liked everything about that team. Color of their uniforms, players, and winning. -

Never had a General Electric project but built a few Heathkits. Good education about electronics. -
What Was the First Band You Saw in Concert?
TonyK replied to Snake45's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I believe it was Foghat and Spooky Tooth in 1971. Used to remember this stuff better but that was a long time ago. I like my wife's first and 2nd concert. First was John Denver and next was Ted Nugent. A little different from each other. -

Wow! Great job. One of my all time favorite drivers and car. Thanks for sharing -
Was a big fan of the 70's drag era also and this was always one of my favorite cars. You did a great job and thanks for bringing a smile to my face.

BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH! Sorry about your loss. Your 2 other Yorkies need to stay healthy for many more years. We have 2 Westies but my wife is always talking about adding a Yorkie to the mix. She loves them.

I enjoyed Green Acres when I was young but it's even better as an adult because you can relate to poor Mr. Douglas having to engage with all the boobs around him. Every character was unique but I always smile just hearing the name "Ralph".

Looks like a great happy dog. I'm sure you gave him a long fulfilling life so keep that thought and hopefully it will take just a little bit of the hurt away. My thoughts are with you.

Well, Friday started off Badly. I had to put a dog down.
TonyK replied to stavanzer's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Sorry to hear your story and hope you feel a little better sharing it with us. I have 2 Westies that are 12 years old and I always tell everyone they'll live forever. My wife is afraid for me when "that" time comes and so am I. -
I have never read a bad word about Stirling Moss. Glad he lived to be 90 in the era he raced.

Autoworld.com Free Car kit!!!!!
TonyK replied to ranma's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I ordered as soon as I saw it and got the El Camino. Maybe they'll get more stock and can continue this great promotion. A nice gesture from Auto World during these frustrating times. -
Such great skills, great car, great model. Thanks for sharing.

I thought the same thing about road construction projects. I "heard" they weren't doing this and trying to find info on the Internet was useless. I saw a city utility pickup the other day with a couple of guys and cones on the road but maybe it was only to check out a problem. I agree that projects could be done without much interference these days.

Very nice build! I especially like your engine.

I've watched IndyCar and Nascar and really enjoyed it. The graphics are excellent and sound and camera angles good also. Having the original announcers helps the whole experience in place of the real thing. I would not watch if the players weren't real drivers. I find it fun to know real drivers are now attempting to race video games instead of their real cars. I'm being entertained and happy for some racing on my television!

Back in the day I liked Puffa Puffa Rice. Several years ago Wheaties came out with a cereal that had a few other ingredients added to Wheaties and a bit of brown sugar I believe. It was very good and then disappeared after a short time. Used to like Corn Pops and Alpha-Bits but these days I only eat healthier cereal usually with a decent amount of fiber. I had one of those submarines. Lots of fun. Didn't take much to amuse myself back then.
