Didn't know that! I just thought he was one of those "character actors" who'd been around forever, like Anthony Zerbe et al. Wondered the same thing, poor guy.

When we first signed up with Good RX, we checked all TLMS's meds and found good prices on all of them. The minor glitch is that no one place had the best price on all of them--we'd have been going to three or four or different drugstores all over town.

Do any kits have a 70s or 80s style tent
Snake45 replied to youpey's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I think some old AMT kit has a squirrel or raccoon or something--check the "Geegaws" thread down in general. -
I didn't even know they had a free version. That didn't seem to be an option when we signed up. Maybe it's like Photobucket, it was once free but now they charge for it.

Very sharp build, very clean! Well done and model on!

Back in April, The Lovely Mrs. Snake's health insurance expired and her Medicare hadn't kicked in yet. She's on several expensive prescriptions so we signed up for Good RX (after seeing many of their commercials on free streaming TV.) The program is $6 per month, but it looked like it was going to save us many times that much each month in prescription costs. (The first month is actually free.) TLMS got onto a free or cheap prescription program through Medicare a couple weeks later. I let the Good RX membership stand until we were sure the new program would work out. After several weeks of satisfactory service from the new provider, I decided today to cancel the Good RX before being billed for a second month. I called their contact number. A recording answered, with the option "To cancel your Good RX, press 3." I did, expecting a major runaround or at least a long delay. The call was answered in person on the 2nd or 3rd ring, and the young lady couldn't have been nicer. She agreed to cancel our service and didn't even ask why. Astoundingly, she offered to fully refund our fee for the first month, since we never used the service, even though I didn't even suggest it. She handled the transaction immediately and within minutes I had confirmation of the cancellation and refund in my email box. The whole thing couldn't have possibly been any smoother or easier or more pleasant. I told her if our situation ever changed and we thought Good RX would work for us in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to sign up with them again. She said she appreciated that. Just thought I'd pass this along in case anyone has seen their ads and wondered if they're reputable and a good deal or not. IMHO, they're the real deal and a good outfit to deal with.

Has anyone used Inline Paint Chrome Pens?
Snake45 replied to Capt. Speirs's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I've pretty much replaced my Molotow pen with this. It looks at least 90-95% as good as Molotow, dries much faster (one hour), and is more durable. AND it costs a third as much. I've bought mine at Walmart. They haven't had them for a few weeks but I bought at least 3 when they had them, and next time they're in, I'll buy a couple more. Not only have I done window trim with it, I've done large chrome body trim, bumper touchup, and wheel touchup. Good stuff! https://www.walmart.com/ip/Marvy-Uchida-DecoColor-Premium-Metallic-Paint-Marker-Chisel-Tip-Silver-551740234/43472202 -
The Lovely Mrs. Snake and I got them for Christmas last year. We LOVE them. If anyone here has wondered about them, give them a try. They have a money-back guarantee.

Mine too--never heard of it. Very cool! I've been wanting to build a V-rod for some time. Drive on!

Motor trend super models
Snake45 replied to R. Thorne's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I don't either, but somewhere, somebody's gonna say "Hey, what about all those old kits and models of Dad's/Grampa's/Uncle Harry's from the '60s up in the attic? I bet it would be fun to build 'em up like this some rainy afternoon. I think I even got some old lacquer spray paint out in the garage I can paint 'em up with!" -
At my last trip to the neighboring state HL, I was stocking up on Model Master paints and they actually had more on hand than I expected. I didn't have a bag or shopping cart and couldn't carry all I wanted in my bare hands, so just stuffed 8 or 10 bottles in my jacket pocket and unloaded them on the checkout counter. No one said a word about any of it.

Some would say they're meant to be blown up with cherry bombs. I don't agree. I think things--especially old, rare things--should be treated with respect. -
If this doesn't put a smile on your face, you my friend just ain't hooked up right.

I won't disagee as long as he's hacking up common, readily available kits. It bothers me that he might be encouraging others to do the same thing to rare old irreplaceable kits or buildups. -
And now for something completely different:

Decommission a patrol car...
Snake45 replied to HomerS's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
One of you Mopars looks like a JoHan '68 Plymouth. That's a very desirable kit these days and yours looks complete and clean. If you offered it for trade here, I'll bet someone would swap you something you're looking for. The other one looks to be a resin 4-door '68 Belvedere/Satellite, never kitted in styrene (resin transkit finished off with '68 Road Runner parts). I forget who made these but they're also desirable, particularly so due to the Adam-12 connection. Again, you should be able to negotiate a good trade for it. -
Ollie's strike again

They have had in the past, but evidently none this time around. Mostly old Lindberg stuff, but some of it is cool. -
