Baby Moons for Big Rigs
stitchdup replied to Warren D's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I get mine from an office supplies place (thumbtacks) -
Painted my mums bedroom for her yesterday and all seemed well. Woke up today to find she hates the colour she chose (a kinda nice pale grey/blue) and she was in tears over it so now I'm repainting it white instead of trying to get my dscv17 bug finished. Hopefully get both done today cos I'm back at work on weds

All the clubs at my school were for sports, but I did find a book on buulding rail dioramas that i must have read every lunch time. I tried to start a model club locally a couple a years ago but everyone that turned up just wanted to buy expensive diecast trucks and had no interest in building them so it seemed a little pointless. I might try again next year as I've noticed the army model kits at my local record shop have been selling pretty well the past year so there must be some interest

Cool, I like the dystopian vibe it has. Do you happen to remember which kit the empi decals were in? I've been looking for some -

You could try thumb tacks, they might be the size you need -

Sad news to hear Dave but it was the right thing to do. I sometimes think we should treat people the same way

If your getting the inex kit try and get the convertible. The roof on the hardtop is too short and doesn't meet the header of the window. You can also find it in a heller or araii box

Well I didn't intend to start this quite so quickly but once the idea was there I couldn't stop myself. Its really an easy conversion but I will need to do a little fine tuning. The roof from the t2 even has the same curve so that should be pretty easy to cut down. Its sitting on a hasegawa chassis I had to hand but the final stance wont be too far off this. I have a chassis from the t3 camper I'll be using on this with a resin suburu engine and porsche wheels

I've just been having a closer look at mine and since I had the hasegawa t1 pick up to hand I compared them. Its going to be a very simple conversion to a pick up. The door openings line up exactly, and the width is spot on. It will just be a case of cutting the hasegawa along the door shuts and gluing it on, the only area that might need some work is the rear of the cab along the upper door shuts and the roof. I'm going to do this conversion very soon but I thought you might want to see.

I'll have to find one of them, it would probably look about right next my santana diecast

My 2 vw t2s arrived yesterday, and today I got a 3d printed resin baja bug body and wheels and a mpc lamborghini miura to turn into a vw based sports car. After looking at the body of the lamborghini it seems the wheelbase isn't too far off where I need it to be. This is the build I need the gt40 front end for

What did you see on the road today?
stitchdup replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Saw a nicely body kitted porsche caymen when i was out, looked like a race type kit but with the rivets smoothed over. White with lots of carbon details and a nice sound to it too -
Didn't one of the stooges design medical equipment too? I seem to remember reading about a pacemaker or something similar

with velcro laces

You could always switch the body and interior between chassis as the mood takes you

You might find something on shapeways if you dont mind 3d printed. This is the closest I found wih a quick search but there are probably other scales available if you have the time to search through it- https://www.shapeways.com/product/AFLQSBXJD/1-32-1979-dodge-magnum?optionId=65428906&li=marketplace
