  1. ah man, I was going purple on my one, time for a rethink, lol. That looks great
  2. theres another place in Holland thats name is escaping me just now, but they had a lot of older stock. if you do a search then look for them on ebay, you might be lucky. I've ordered from them but it was a few years ago. If I remember right they sold mostly truck stuff and the site was colourful. sorry i cant be more help
  3. Myself and Ace-Garageguy were discssing this very car (the beast) a couple of months back. It turns out it wasn't a proper merlin engine but a meteor from a tank. It was the press that called it a merlin because it sounded way cooler for a guy that rides a horse to court when Rolls Royce sued him. It also used a GM autobox which i found funny. Also Mr Dodd only built the body, someone else did the chassis and engine (possibly the builder of the box) and a second with 2 engines was well under way, though i couldn't find more pics of it. The whole story of the car could make a decent comedy movie
  4. Have you tried spot models in spain? They're usually good for decals
  5. The flat plate is printed first in resin printing, it varies with other types, wax prints like resin but i think thats it. it attaches to a plate that rises out of the resin. think of it like printing thousands of photos in a stack. the spider web is the supports to hold the parts in place and the printer has the choice to add them r have the program do it. if you dip the item in hot water the supports remove much cleaner
  6. Its not going to matter where the kits are produced. the raw plastic is all made in china. we let them do this because we dont want big stinking plastics factories near our towns because of forever chemicals and what they do to our health and kids. Erin Brockovitch 2 could be made sooner than you think
  7. those kits are selling really well in europe. they sell out pretty quick, except the icm model t's but i think they were released too soon after each other.
  8. it looks like your dash might not quite level and holding the cowl area from dropping in place. i dont have that kit so i cant be sure. if that is the problem it might also be making the stance look off so i would try adjusting the dash if you can. have a look at some other builds ups and you can compare them, it sometimes helps
  9. first check with your insurer as some give discount for certain specs. i think its cameras that give a 360 view that get the discount but that might be only this side of the pond. i suspect the same deals will be available as its all the same companies. if he wants to be able to use it outside th vehicle too, theres always go-pro cameras as another option.
  10. if its being installed by a pro i would ask them. they will be putting their name to the work and may have an idea that will work better for you. it could work out better for you to get something custom built in. that way you can design it to your needs and if its built in add doors to help keep it clean. if theres already electrical being done its only some extra wires and maybe 2 hours. and build bigger than you think you need, extra space is always good
  11. i'd double check before commiting to changing the brakes. it may be they were mounted backwards to save space as these are small cars and alpine like to be strange
  12. Sadly it looks like its true but we can be glad we got the chance to be inspired by him and his ideas that gave us so many more customisers to carry on his legacy. RIP Gene, may everyday be a school day
  13. is true or is it part of the ongoing scam trying to raise money for him? i've not seen it on any car sites yet so some sources are needed. his instagram says nothing about it
  14. that looks just like my sky on a clear frosty night, very cool and something i'm definately going to try. i've always wanted to do an aurora boreallis paint job and you just showed me how so many thanks too.
  15. i think its just an old ford or merc done up. apart from the window being a different shape, which could plausibly be a change for production testing, the area between the fins and top of the body is a different shape. i think its more likely heavily inspired by it for a tv show, movie or parade.
  16. honest sales ad (with missing information) classic car for sale. one careful lady owner (the other 20 owners didn't give a hoot(prob cos the horn rotted away))who only used it twice a week, once for groceries and once for church(both on opposite ends of daytona beach).
  17. I thnk this is a tie in for a anime show. Hasegawa have loads of manga/anime tie ins
  18. if you look on 1999.com they normally show the instructions for the kits in the pics. you'll need to click them to get them large
  19. nah, i live on an island so they charge extra for shipping paints. it would make the revell stuff over £60 a tin. zero paints i haven't tried yet but i do have the golf harlequin paint from them
  20. great wheel choice, they look just like the stock steels with the webbing removed from tthe spokes
  21. the essex v6 is available in 3d print. its an early version out of the british fords such as, capri, cortina and granada. the print version is for upgrading the italeri transit kits so its a single carb and the block and intake are one part.
  22. if you log in with your email address and password you should be good.
  23. preference implies the existance of postferance
  24. out with the old and in with the new
