Oops, thanks for the correction, I'm more into the custom shows than the resto shows so they tend to blend together for me -

I like most of that 914, but the front bumper doesn't seem to match, something more like a 911 front bumper would suit it better as the rest is quite rounded -

Cool, the only big foot I've seen in the flesh was the one at racerock in orlando with the land train wheels. Will be following your progress -
Sweet, I dont think I've seen that done before

Austin-Healy 100-6 or 3000? Any good kits?
stitchdup replied to randyc's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
theres this one https://www.scalemates.com/kits/strombecker-d57-149-austin-healey--1184747 or if you dont mind resin http://www.rocketfin.com/resin_product.cfm?id=3996 I dont know if either is easy to find though there are bound to be more resin versions -
If your looking for land rover off road parts in 1/24 have a look at kitformservices military range. They already do some 1/24 land rovers and there is a pretty decent range of extra details available

Very nicely built, I really like that you have the slight bends in the rack crossbars, it adds to the authenticity and would have looked out of place without it -
I need to add this to one of my dragster builds.

yes, there's a gentleman in england that does resin travellers, cars and vans, and I think airtrax do one or two versions as well. I have the english guys traveller and it seems a good starting point. I think both ate 1/24 though rather than 1/25. Appologies for the poor pic, I'm away from home just now but this is from the english guy. -
I think that may be a british build by a gentleman called paul bacon. He's the same guy that turned a citroen bx into a 50s style custom then turned a z3 roadster into a roth style car and a london taxi into a pretty cool looking van imo. More pics of it here http://www.bikerlifestyle.co.uk/automatron-hotrod/ and some of his other builds

Another simple dio. I used car body filler to shape the surface, then while it was sticky I tore some grass sheet to give a roadway, then used more filler to raise the road up, Again the dirt on the road is real rubbed into wet paint and the plants are moss. The 41 chevy will get replaced with a morris minor traveller once I get it built. The fergie started out as the heller te20 kit but I wanted to build a 35 as thats what our family tractor is (owned since new and restored a couple years ago. I know the tractor is not accurate to a 35 but it has the look of one.

My first dio. I used grass sheet from a train place, car body filler, moss and dry earth. The dry stone walls are all real rocks. This is the sort of roads most farms used to have local to me though now many have been given proper surfaces

Not too happy with the rear end of this kit. At assembly stage I found the lower bumper didn't fit and the interior tub knocked one of the lights down. Due to the body being such a tight fit I didnt want to break it apart as I know something major would have broken. The paint is simoniz matt black with tamiya pearl clear though i should have used gloss black i think. The wheels are aoshima cleared with tamiya red. Due to the back bumper i ended up with glue spots from trying to clamp it together and the glue sqishing out so its now brushed in grey primer. I plan on getting another of these so I can build one I am happier with. The interior is citadel mephisto red with black trim and carpets

Does anyone know of a source for better lights for the heller grey fergie kits? the ones in it are just decals and I'd prefer something with lenses. None of my hot rod kits have any small enough

almost finished only to find the power back bumper doesn't fit. if the centre is lined up the sides stick out. I've ended up with glue spots over the bumper area. up until now everything was fitting nice except one rear light the glass knocked out after the body was on. I like the kit but am annoyed at these 2 parts. the body fit is too tight to remove it without doing damage
