  1. Fantastic job with this kit. Looks great.?
  2. Wow, that’s an awesome build. Your paint work is stellar.?
  3. And here there are mocked up. Now I need to get some chrome on them.
  4. Wow am I a slacker. I was really rolling with this build in spring and early summer, but haven’t touched it since July! Raise your hand if you completely forgot about this build. One, two, three…. Yup, me too! This is a bad time to start back up on it, with my daughter coming home for the holidays, and one definite , possibly two group builds about to start, so no guarantees it won’t go right back onto the back burner. But while waiting on paint and glue to dry, I grabbed it and decided to tackle these side pipes. As you can see, I stripped the last attempt at chrome and resprayed them with a black base coat. I’m going to try the nail gel and powder on them, but I needed to figure out how to mount them first. Pinning them should work. So the pipes have been drilled and .047 rod was glued in. Matching holes will be drilled into the floor pan once the cement cures. That should just about do it!
  5. Yeah, not sure what to do with this kit. Maybe kit-bash? The body mods are ok-ish, but I can’t stand that hood.? I think it’s got potential though. Just needs a lot of massaging.
  6. So without even knowing, I bought more models! My family plays a lot of board games during the holidays when we’re all together. I bought this game called Storm Vault at Ollie’s and upon opening the box, lo and behold, the character pieces are all Games Workshop fit! They look pretty cool too.
  7. That looks great! Excellent workmanship. Can I ask if you painted the headlights? What did you use? They look really good.?
  8. That’s awesome Carl! Your wife rocks!
  9. Hit the junk shops with my wife again today. These followed me home.
  10. That's really cool. I like the look of it way more than stock. Great idea!
  11. It’s coming along, but slowly. I had a few issues I wanted to think through before acting, but now it’s moving along again. I Tend to build a little on the slow side anyway ?
  12. I’m kicking around the idea of joining too and I haven’t done a GB before either. Although I have committed to my first one on another site. I’m sort of just waiting to see what direction this one goes before committing. The whole concept of a GB sounds like a lot of fun to me.?
  13. That looks awesome. Can’t wait to see the finished product.?
  14. Yup. Tap the holes first. Should save you a lot of headaches.
  15. Front suspension work is coming along nicely. I ended up remaking the torsion bar so it would fit better. Pics coming on that this weekend once the paint cures. While waiting, I decided to run battery cables. I’ve never done this before on a build. But the battery is so visible in the interior that I felt it would dress it up a bit. This was pretty fun, and I can see myself doing more of this kind of stuff. I’m definitely not going full detail here, so no terminals were used.
  16. Ok now that’s just cool.?
  17. It’s amazing that this build is that old. It still looks fresh! Such a cool model.?
  18. That’s the one. At the time it really grabbed me.
  19. Oh that’s really sharp. Loving the color combo you chose.
  20. This looks much cooler than the box art car. Very cool.?. Nice job my friend. Hmm. Maybe I’ll do some custom graphics of my own when I get around to this one. “Linn Fever”!??
  21. You guys are posting some great stuff! Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I'm loving seeing and reading about all these old builds.?
  22. I love how it's just a little beat up now. It actually adds to the effect, making it look like an old car that's ready for a re-fresh. Cool.
