  1. Dude, these should be onset of some show. You must work in the movie industry, practical effects or live action or some such.
  2. Very very nice! The chrome looks real, man these are great!
  3. This is incredible and pure craftsmanship! I thought they were real 1:1 subjects, down to the dioramas. Wow man, wow! So darn cool...
  4. To me, this is a prime example of quality over quantity. They look beautiful, I really the paints and textures.
  5. Thank you for the photo, I think the engine looks very very cool. Nice work!
  6. The word that comes to my mind is pleasing I feel pleased looking at your works. Just very very very nice.
  7. These are all so fantastical I have no real words. Wow man, wow. You are having a most pleasant 2018 indeed.
  8. These are all really nice builds, I love the subject matter.
  9. Besides my wife's kindness, I got this Shinwa ruler in the mail. The only ruler that I'll need for builds. It's 1mm thick and satin chrome stainless steal.
  10. This is really funny. I had to look it up; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning–Kruger_effect What would be the term where some one feels as if they know less at middle age then they did in there teens? Perhaps it's called reality? Ah, I suffer from reality...
  11. I just shrugged it off. No biggy, just irked me a bit.
  12. Hi Greg, I suggest this as a quiet, reliable, versatile compressor and comes with a hose that snaps in to your air brush no issues; https://www.amazon.com/Airbrush-COMPRESSOR-Training-Published-Exclusively/dp/B001738DXU/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1545499997&sr=8-5&keywords=point+zero+compressor PS I like these for a quick release; https://www.amazon.com/Master-Airbrush-Release-Disconnect-Connections/dp/B001MKGOUM/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1545501547&sr=8-10&keywords=airbrush+hose+adapter PS After some reading, I would suggest this one and will get it myself as mine was destroyed. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WBT7PTW/?coliid=I1QLPUP2I1HGRC&colid=1OTOOX6BLJGFG&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
  13. I've used MicroSet and MicroSol (great products) and was looking forward to using there Liquid Decal Film for improving older decals. The MicroSet is a nice all around solution however there MicroSol should be used sparingly as it runs hot. I've used it for stubborn curved areas etc... What worked for me was to let the decals dry for about a minute and then slowly brush on either little by little. Some reviews;
  14. Top shelf museum quality. A work of art that would make Pagani him self very very pleased. I love all of the engineering that you put into this project. All of it making sense and seemingly required. I wouldn't be surprised if some one asked to buy it for top dollar.
  15. This kit, car and your work are a treasure. Would you mind snapping some shots of the engine?
  16. Fantastic! The paint is butter smooth and excellent.
  17. Wow! This looks really really really nice. Well done!
  18. Oddly enough the US Post Office. I'm a supporter of this establishment but more and more over the years this once wonderful institution has been sliding into mediocrity. I was doing a mail forward to a POBox as my business also burned down in the fires and this chuckle head asked if I was evading child support and that he'd have to tell the IRS where to find me should they come knocking. Meanwhile a huge line had formed behind me. This clock watcher was supposedly the manager going at a snails pace. I'm very fortunate to be working in the VFX industry since 93'ish where every one pulls there weight and works hard, w/o exception. So this lack of being consciences about ones work baffles me.
  19. Well unfortunately the 2% milk reference is lost on me as its been decades since I drank that swill. Do you have any other references that I can use? I thin Alclad/Tamiya lacquers by about 1 part thinner to 3 parts paint. For Tamiya acrylics, its about 1 part thinner to 1 part paint.
  20. Your paint job on that 911 looks awesome! What ratio do you use for both your Mr. Color Thinner and Mr. Leveling Thinner?
  21. Hi JC, Wow pretty cool. Is this a new kit? When I spoke with Norm early this year, he was focusing on classic hot rods etc...
  22. Hi, Thats very nice of you. As a grand child, I got śipak (pronounced sheepak) for Christmas on a regular basis, pictured below. But boy did I eat and drink well, nothing like Serbian household during Christmas.
  23. Wow, those look real nice. Thanks for this. I don't see myself using any but the smallest one being 1/8" which equates to 3.175mm. BTW, how to you keep the sharp corners from digging into the plastic? Do you file the down to be a bit rounded?
  24. Hi, While I use cheap lacquer thinners from hardware stores, I've noticed that both the Gunze and Tamiya lacquer thinners are not hot and seem to have an odd wetting affect on my air brush. A sort of lube and retarder at the same time. I'm not suggesting either for your lacquer of choice, but as for me, I'll only use Tamiya, Alclad and Model Master lacquers for my models.
  25. Hi, I've found myself using chisels more so then not and that they help me. There are 2 chisels that I have narrowed it down to and both are in 3mm widths. Trumpeter Master Tools; Seems high end, but is narrow so getting a good grip may be an issue. Umm USA; I like the beveled end but the plastic handle, although seemingly better to grip kinda bugs me. What do you all think?
