  1. The wheels look like these, but modified. The inside of the rims looks like they were cut apart and widened or narrowed and a screw attached to the center. I had always assumed they were ment to be a BMW roadster wheel design but I couldn't find anything using this exact design wheel.
  2. I did find a pic of a gluebomb lot with the '75 grille but I couldn't copy pics from that site. You can see the '75 grille in front of the brown car in the pics at this link. https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/amt-438-75-76-nova-pro-street-project-1922585985
  3. I was thinking of this one. Note the earlier grille. Forgot they updated it for later releases.
  4. I think the AMT was a '75. MPC did '77,'78 and '79 Novas. I have a '78 to redo someday.
  5. Yea, they're not quite the right size. Should be a bit bigger but if that's the only nit to pick on the kit I'd say we're golden.
  6. Love it. What, no Goanna, Cold Chisel or Red Gum tapes?? ?
  7. Here's a link directly to the automotive section and in english. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/car/
  8. Finally got the paint on. I did add some material to the windshield pillars and a couple tabs for glass placement. As gonna use the last of my HOK candy root beer but I guess it was too old. Had to thin it quite a bit and it didn't dry right. So I decanted some dark metallic brown duplicolor spray I had and let it sit for a week. All the metallic flake settled to the bottom and just left the transparent brown. Poured off the transparent brown and mixed it 50/50 with duplicolor clear and had my candy brown.
  9. finally got paint on this thing.
  10. As the former owner of a '79 Nova coupe, I'm quite happy to hear that as I missed out on the last release.
  11. Not specifically that I know of but MCG makes a set for the '60 that has the script along with a lot of other stuff that could be used on a '61.
  12. If Chrysler in Australia used that material on their cars would have been "croc-grain" ? ?
  13. The '57 Chevy. Don't know if it's still in there though.
  14. When we were in our teens back in the dark ages [early '80s] my cousin Phil wanted me to spray his '74 Malibu couple with tremclad gloss black. So one Saturday we masked the thing off and I sprayed it with my little put put compressor and a 30 dollar spray gun outside behind his dads house. Looked pretty good when I was done and we started taking the paper off the still [mostly] wet paint , , , it started raining. By the time we got all the paper off and it stopped raining it looked exactly like Marty's pic. ? So,, maybe spray your surface and mist some water on it while the paint it still wet? Worth a try but maybe on a spoon or something. ?
  15. Only 11 more to go Joseph. ,,, and there is a member on here who does post exactly the way I suggested to you even though he's been on here for years. ?
  16. Joseph, you could always just go into the section with the built kits and post "looks great! " "nice build !" and "very nice!" in at least 15 threads and then bingo, you're off moderation! ?
  17. Sean, we weren't calling him wrong, just that it could be better if he was more prepared. This presenter has done tons of videos in the past and has been very good at it, obviously, or Round 2 wouldn't have sent him the kit to review. It happens some sometimes.
  18. Just want to put this out there for those not familiar with the kit. This was the original version of the kit from about '79 or '80. Wasn't exactly a stellar kit back then either. ,, and, yes, that was a real car Barris built.
  19. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask if someone's gonna do a video and put it out there that they at least take 10 minutes to familiarise themselves with what they're making the video about.
  20. You may already be aware of this but every year of Firebird from '67 to 2002 was kitted in either Trans Am or Formula flavor.
  21. Buddy sure seems unfamiliar with the subject he's reviewing. But, anyway,, Cool to see they included the parts for both 2 wheel drive and 4X4 suspensions. The Warlock was available with either. Same goes for the wheels. Both the gold wagon wheels and chrome 5 slot wheels were options on these trucks. That engine is definitely MPCs old big block, definitely not a small block as he stated. I wasn't really that hot to pick one up but now I see that the extra parts are in there I'm sure I'll be needing a couple. I think a tricked out 2 wheel drive Warlock "street truck" is in order to go with my 4X4. ?
  22. Man, that looks fantastic ! ???
  23. Cool work, Joe. For years I've been thinking of doing the same thing with one of the "spectacular" MPC/AMT '69 Charger Daytonas I ended up with.
  24. The lowrider crowd would keep the supply small. Just look at how hard it is to find one of the Revell Caddy lowrider kits. , , and late '60s Impalas are much more popular with them then a late '70s Caddys ever were or will be.
