  1. Go simple... more detail, new rolling stock, fresh paint and BMF....Dump the late model seats.
  2. Very cool concept and build. What did the roof come from? Curious so I can avoid it... LOL
  3. The GT is a must. I built one with a 427 and really liked it. The only real flaw is the engine looks like an SOHC rather than the DOHC that the car has
  4. Back in the days where there were local hot rods, a lot of guys painted the rear differential white. Why? dunno, but looked cool. More often you would see the confederate flag, but yours looks cool. Not offended, it is a model for Pete's sake.
  5. Primer with Red Oxide, wet sand and then gray. Done it without issue
  6. Love building stocker type cars out of old gluebombs. Have a 63 Meteor and a Marlin in the works myself.... Go for it man!!!!! Here is a Mustang I got carried away with for inspiration
  7. I have been hoping this would be returning.....
  8. Lookin good... Nice color.
  9. There is much more than that, but I am not getting into it..... You can see some of the mods I had to do to get the 57 better here:
  10. I know what you mean about not being able to overlook something because you are familiar with the subject. I love 57 Fords and the Revell offerings just are horrible all around, but so many love the kit, they will never really fix it. I never noticed that issue on the Chevy trim, Now it stands out like a sore thumb...
  11. Love the choice of a Y Block
  12. Tommy likes to take tires and play with them. He also tends to sleep in a kit lids on the desk.
  13. A modified Monogram 58 Tbird roof can work
  14. If anyone builds this, use the custom 37 Chevy tail light tuned around. You will need 2 though
  15. Looking cool, love the wheels. Odd they did not do the fender/door trim like the rear quarter trim
  16. That was my option of choice on the Revell Chopped '49 Merc, I just gave up on it. Was frustrated beyond belief.
  17. Biggest issues I have with the chopped coupe are the rear quarter windows (The rear radius of the window is pretty much stock) which should have a sharper radius. And the windshield opening. Windshield is too tall, to narrow and to square looking. The Police coupe suffers from this also. They both suffer the squashed looking roof of the 49 Mercury also
  18. Be nice if they fixed the floors of the Torino. Driving me crazy fixing it. The rest of the fixes have not been too bad. Front bumper fix is tought to get it to look right tho.
  19. If sharing anything with the Torino, I'd pass.....
  20. Looking REALLY good. Before you get to far on the body, cut off the lower part of the front fenders. If you want the front valance, get one from an AMT 57, it is closer to correct. The valance is one piece and attached to the fender and that lower area is not part of the fender. Sand the lower header panel to raise the grill, it is about a scale inch too low. Revell really dropped the ball on accuracy on their 57 Ford kits. They need A LOT of work to be made correct.
  21. I'd buy these by the case. Unless of course it was screwed it up like a few other kits I have bought
  22. Lookin really good!!
