  1. That is one wicked looking Austin. Really like your paint work.
  2. Very nice collection of Ford's finest racing machines. Excellent build on the transporter.
  3. Wouldn't want to see that bull bar coming up in my rearview, especially with Jimmy Spencer at the wheel. Very nice build.
  4. That is one fine looking 55 ragtop. Beautiful color choice and some very convincing photography.
  5. This is one of my all-time favorite GT racing cars. I have the Monogram 1/32 kit and just dream of the day someone will produce a 1/25 scale full detail kit. What you have done with this slot-car body is simply amazing. Very nice rendition of a most beautiful car. Happened to come across a you-tube video of Jay Leno's garage and he had one of these with its owner. It was silver in color and the owner, who worked on the original design said that was the original color; he bought the car for $3000 sometime back in the late 60's or early 70's, minus engine and transmission.
  6. It's back. Used to use this site quite often a few years back, but it disappeared, glad to see it available again. Comes in really handy when trying to determine drag race classes for stock cars.
  7. Got a good deal in trade with BIGTRUCK, smooth trade.
  8. Very nice build, the paint work and everything about it is superb. Like the '63 Ford taillights. When I saw the title, the "K" did not quite register and I was expecting a "Z" car.
  9. Interesting build. Decals came out quite well. What body is this?
  10. What engine are you considering for this one? Going to be fun watching it come together.
  11. Very nice build. Those little 1/32's are fun to work with. I have a couple of them in my display case and a couple more to build. Also have a shoebox full of the older Monogram slot car static kits from the mid 60's that I want to do some restoration work on.
  12. Where in the world did you see "Thunder in Carolina"? I saw that movie at a drive-in with my mom and dad and sisters sometime in 1959. The movie was filmed within 50 miles of my house, which in 1959 was a big deal. In one of the scenes where Rory Calhoun is trying out his racecar on the backroads, there is a black 38 Ford coupe that shows up in the scene, that car belonged to my second cousin. Been wanting to see it again. Now on to your build. Very clean build has the look of that era stock car. Really nice color representation especially with a red plastic base.
  13. Going to be an interesting build. I have a similar idea for mine, not quite as radically low but more streetable. Keep those updates coming.
  14. I could not see myself laying out my hard-earned money for something like that, and then having to pay a buyer's premium on top. Not really sure they could pay me to take it. I would be afraid of laying back, making doobie ashes while listening to some Led Zep, and starting a raging inferno if I dropped aforementioned doobie.
  15. Beautiful conversion work on that wrecker. Nothing like a 6 pack Ford to make it haul. I like it.
  16. Very impressive build. I have the kit and decals in my stash waiting to be done, hope it comes out as clean as your build.
  17. Beautiful little Deuce roadster. The orange really looks good on it, but that Ford under the hood really sets it off.
  18. The prettiest late model Ford ever built, the '40 was the prettiest early model. Looking forward to you work on this one. Really interested in the small jar of glitter (?), are you going to mix that in with your paint. What is it called and where in the store is it found?
  19. I never had very many Jo-Han kits in the 60's. Only two I can remember are the '64 Dodge SS car of Hodges Dodges which had a beautiful set of Cheater slicks (still have them) and the '65 Plymouth Fury II (III) with Sox & Martin decals. These are one-piece slicks, hollow inside. Still a mystery where I got them.
  20. While digging through my stash of tires I came across this set of drag slicks. Not a very good picture, but the best my old Samsung phone could come up with. Anyway, one side says, "Goodyear Blue Streak" the other side says, "Firestone Drag 500". I know they were from some 60's kit but have no idea which one. Anybody remember these?
  21. Actually Dave, I was referring to me as being "dated", I am well past the let's try this new technology. I will just sit back and enjoy the fruits of the labors of others. Just corrected my earlier post.
  22. I have 1/32 copies of the Lola GT Mk6 and would love to see it in a full detail 1/25 scale, also the Lotus 23C like Elvis drove in "Viva Las Vegas" (must include an Ann Margaret in white bikini model). I have images saved somewhere in this computer but cannot find them to upload - give me XP back.
  23. Got mine a couple of days ago. Just had a chance to leaf through it, seems like it is going to be a good issue. May be too "dated" to consider purchasing and learning how to use a 3D printer, but the technology is quite interesting.
  24. Unfortunately, most Pro-Mod trucks or Road-racing trucks will have to come from your ability to craft them from whatever stock truck kits are available. There are many pieces that can be kit-bashed from car kits to build any style truck you wish. Not a very rational option for the kit manufacturers, since there are very few 1:1 organizations promoting these type trucks, such as NASCAR with their truck series. A NASCAR truck kit bashed with a stock kit could be formulated into a rather believable road racing build, as could using the chassis and parts from some of the Pro-mod kits under available truck kits. Just use your imagination and build your idea of what one should look like.
  25. I have built a couple of these and have more in my stash. If you can figure the front clip issue out, you will be considered a modeling genius.
