1953 Ford 4-door sedan
TarheelRick replied to 1st 700 Quad's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I have the Star 53 Ford 4-door, but it is slated for a project of my own. It does not come with an interior; just a body shell minus a hood. But the quality of the body is really nice. -
Thanks for that hint, turned my search into the opposite direction. PM sent.

Also glad to help. Looking forward to what you do with them.

Received my order from Galaxie: 38 foot tri-axle fifth wheel trailer and the Long John dragster. Was unimpressed with their shipping charges until I received the package, excellent packaging.

Just came across this one, really like how it turned out. Your weathering is absolutely superb. These old Willys pickups from AMT can be built into some decent rides. Again, thanks for showing us this beauty.

FACEBOOK: I couldn't have said it better...

Sounds like something we have forgotten how to do - TALK TO EACH OTHER. Noticeable in a restaurant, each family member has their face stuck into some sort of screen. Is common conversation a lost art? -
Very good, didn't realize the relationship of car names and our life's drama.

Turning the '62 Thunderbird into a coupe?
TarheelRick replied to JollySipper's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Looks like the roof from a 61 Galaxie might do the job, may need to be shortened a bit though. -
I would definitely drive it. Very nice work.

Wrinkle Wall Rear Slicks
TarheelRick replied to 69NovaYenko's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
https://www.thepartsbox.com/product-category/the-parts-box/wheels/tyres/ #1096 are wrinkle wall slicks. Have never ordered from them, but have read some good reviews. -
Check out Fireball , he has a set of Suburbanites and Gates Commandos which should fit your need, https://fireballmodels.info/ FMR 102 and FMR 103 I have the 102's and they are excellent quality.

Mine came in the mail today. Hope I don't start some sort of flame war here, but was not really impressed with it. Kind of reminded me of some streaming TV shows I watch: 3 minutes of show and 3 minutes of commercial break. Appeared to have a whole lot of "stuff to buy" and limited building content. Did enjoy the coverage of the Las Vegas show, although it also covered quite a few pages. Still I am looking forward to #211. Applaud the team for keeping the magazine going.

1977 Ford Motor Home
TarheelRick replied to Oldmopars's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Going to be a really interesting project, looking forward to more updates. It appears to me the overhand is a bit long over the front of the van and still a bit tall. Maybe its just the angle in the photo, but does the vertical side stick out past the edge of the van door. Anyway, keep on working that CAD until it suits you. -
Very nice project. Think you may have double posted several of the pictures.

Excellent build, very clean appearance. But what happens when you get a dent in it and have to repaint. JK Does look close to some of the paints available then. Wasn't that chrome trim fun to install?

Bingeing on re-runs of "Last Man Standing" plenty of diecast cars in Mike Baxter's home office and one episode, which guest-stars Patricia Richardson (his wife on Home Improvement), he is repairing a tank model someone had broken. Also remember one episode of "American Pickers" where Frank bought a collection of models, from what I could make out many of them were 60"s annuals, and he paid a whopping $20 apiece for them.

Going to be one fun Poncho build. Those are definitely some wide meats on the rear, really like the way you fit them in.

I really only use the backup camera on my F-150 for one purpose - backing up to attach my trailer. Sure saves a lot of back an inch, get out and look, back another inch, get out an look, back another "CRUNCH".

Get the one-finger wave all too often.

I've found this punch set to come in quite handy https://www.harborfreight.com/9-piece-hollow-punch-set-3838.html I have used it to punch styrene headlight covers for stockcars and gauges from cut and paste images on plain print paper.

41" long Lonestar chopped custom.
TarheelRick replied to carbuilder1950's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
This is just too much eye candy for these old tired eyes to comprehend. Awesome build from the front bumper to the trailer taillights and everything in between. You sir have an out of control imagination and I like it.
