  1. I would definitely drive it. Very nice work.
  2. https://www.thepartsbox.com/product-category/the-parts-box/wheels/tyres/ #1096 are wrinkle wall slicks. Have never ordered from them, but have read some good reviews.
  3. Check out Fireball , he has a set of Suburbanites and Gates Commandos which should fit your need, https://fireballmodels.info/ FMR 102 and FMR 103 I have the 102's and they are excellent quality.
  4. Mine came in the mail today. Hope I don't start some sort of flame war here, but was not really impressed with it. Kind of reminded me of some streaming TV shows I watch: 3 minutes of show and 3 minutes of commercial break. Appeared to have a whole lot of "stuff to buy" and limited building content. Did enjoy the coverage of the Las Vegas show, although it also covered quite a few pages. Still I am looking forward to #211. Applaud the team for keeping the magazine going.
  5. Going to be a really interesting project, looking forward to more updates. It appears to me the overhand is a bit long over the front of the van and still a bit tall. Maybe its just the angle in the photo, but does the vertical side stick out past the edge of the van door. Anyway, keep on working that CAD until it suits you.
  6. Looks about like the one I have on my 1:1 F-150, although I do have side windows. Really nice work, will have to try this myself one of these days (famous last words). BTW, your avatar interests me as I am a school bus driver.
  7. BOO!!
  8. Very nice project. Think you may have double posted several of the pictures.
  9. Excellent build, very clean appearance. But what happens when you get a dent in it and have to repaint. JK Does look close to some of the paints available then. Wasn't that chrome trim fun to install?
  10. Bingeing on re-runs of "Last Man Standing" plenty of diecast cars in Mike Baxter's home office and one episode, which guest-stars Patricia Richardson (his wife on Home Improvement), he is repairing a tank model someone had broken. Also remember one episode of "American Pickers" where Frank bought a collection of models, from what I could make out many of them were 60"s annuals, and he paid a whopping $20 apiece for them.
  11. Going to be one fun Poncho build. Those are definitely some wide meats on the rear, really like the way you fit them in.
  12. I really only use the backup camera on my F-150 for one purpose - backing up to attach my trailer. Sure saves a lot of back an inch, get out and look, back another inch, get out an look, back another "CRUNCH".
  13. Get the one-finger wave all too often.
  14. I've found this punch set to come in quite handy https://www.harborfreight.com/9-piece-hollow-punch-set-3838.html I have used it to punch styrene headlight covers for stockcars and gauges from cut and paste images on plain print paper.
  15. This is just too much eye candy for these old tired eyes to comprehend. Awesome build from the front bumper to the trailer taillights and everything in between. You sir have an out of control imagination and I like it.
  16. This is one beautiful Shelby (redundant statement, all Shelbys are beautiful). Anyway I really like the overall sharpness of this build. Now to the statement quoted: is this complete car brush painted? If so my hat is off to you for an excellent job.
  17. Continuing watching this one, like the looks of the foil on that beautiful red paint. Also like the idea you are going to keep it 100% Ford, too many are downgraded with a certain popular crate motor.
  18. http:// Built this one a few years ago. 41 Willys pickup cab, 41 Chevy frame, flathead from somewhere, wheels/tires from 28 Lincoln, rear axle from some form of early Ford, scratchbuilt headers from wire and paintbrush ferrule (got it too long), scratchbuilt pick-up box, covered seat with blue/white striped corduroy ribbon.
  19. That is indeed one good looking weathering job. Very nice overall build. Also must compliment you on your photography efforts to add a realistic look to your pictures.
  20. Nothing better than a red fat-fendered Ford; looking mighty good. What do you have in mind for motorvation?
  21. There are several restrictions concerning prior driving records and, at least here in NC, they do a pretty thorough records check. The first day of our training the instructor said, "If any of you have had any of this list of violations there is no need for you to come back tomorrow." The next day he told four people to leave the class; I guess they didn't believe him.
  22. There is a nationwide shortage of school bus drivers. We have had a few take the class and get their licenses, but once they drive a couple of days and realize the pure h e double hockeysticks some of these kids raise on the bus they quit. There are a few major issues in my county: 1. really stupid pay scale, 2. unruly kids, 3. no discipline support from the school system, all the way from the school superintendent down to the individual principals. There is no concern shown for the bus drivers. A neighboring county's drivers threatened to go on strike for better wages and a couple other issues. When they met with the school board, with a news crew present, they were asked to talk in a private session. Once you go into a private meeting with politicians and no cameras or recorders, then you are fed male bovine excrement and a bunch of hollow promises. No doubt the lack of drivers is a critical situation and until we are removed from underneath the totem pole it will stay that way.
  23. This past week I got "invited" in to speak with my supervisor about a pay raise. Once he finished the required BS about how much we (school bus drivers) are appreciated and how he recognizes the difficulty we face daily, he went into a spiel of how he had worked for the past three weeks on developing an effective pay scale for drivers. He than told me the good news of how much I was going to get: from $15.38 an hour to a whopping $15.60 an hour. This is my 9th year driving for this school system. The offer of $.22/hour increase in pay was one of the most insulting points in my life. I let him know the meeting was a waste of my time.
  24. Excellent weathering on this beautifully built F1. Photography is also on the spot. Saw a lot of these in my younger days, one thing though is most of the ones I remember had some kind of dent along the top of the tailgate. Really like this build.
  25. There is one in the AMT 'Wild Child' Ford Falcon A/FX kit or any of the renditions of that particular mold.
