The '63 Corvette was almost a 4-seater...

The wheels arrived today, look nice too! I’ve been running a couple of my R/C trail rigs of late, so I may need to dig the Jag back out and test fit these to see what I need to do to mount them.

Looks like it should have a mountain of mason jars or a huge, yet discretely installed tank in it someplace.

I had heard that Dusty was going to be sitting some of this tour out due to an old hip injury and the band's guitar tech of 2 decades was going to step in in his place, sounds like he may continue to do so now, from what I just read.

I was going to say, I have one out in my car that was a recent reissue and I don’t think it was that bad!

Jaguar XKE

That will come in handy, thanks for posting that Lee! I did watch this earlier tonight, as per usual for the Audrain Automobile Museum and Donald Osborne, it was interesting and informative as well! -
I will post pics as soon as I can once they are in hand, I was getting a bit nervous as it has been a couple weeks now since I ordered them!

Now if it had been Elon Musk, he probably would have done it in that for a laugh and a meme, Bezos now……I have no clue….

Quick update, just got an email this morning that the Dunlop rolling stock is shipping! Tracking number for shipping doesn't register just yet, but hopefully it will by tomorrow!

It’s the US Revell version of the Jaguar XK-E Coupe model. It’s a pretty nice kit and I kinda want to get the Roadster to go with it!
-
I do like the AMT ‘68-‘71 B-Body floor and engine bay under these, not sure if Revell Chargers from the same model years will fit though.
-
Been watching that one and the Foose roadster build too!
-
No Problem, it probably dates back to the early days when cars still used a tiller to steer.
-
Thanks, I need to fix the hood and I’m waiting on the rolling stock from the Ukrainian before I do much more to the body. I want to make sure that there won’t be any issues with tire clearance or mounting since there were no pics of the back.
-
He’s talking about the steering wheel when he says “Tiller”??
-
That was part of it, but the blue FHC above is what really inspired it since I didn’t want to get that far into the body work to redo the roof too.

The Ugliest Corvette Ever?
Joe Handley replied to stavanzer's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yeah, At least from that angle, I'm really digging that Vette! -
I did that too, the pics posted were taken after I did that with mine.

How about a more recent Jeep color?! I give you……Jeep Moss Green Metallic and here it is on something curvier

Thanks Pete, I started course due to the bumper mounting tabs and the UV Resin filler I used, it made knocking those down easier and went to finer grit later on and will still do so, then use filler primer as well. I agree and will do, I just ordered them yesterday and the purchase has been confirmed and only cost about $8.00, so I'm curious on how long shipping will take. The kit is molded in 2 colors though, a very bright, almost "Italian Red" plastic as well as a grey-ish white for non body parts. Wish it was in primer grey, but oh well. Thanks, that's what I was thinking of trying too! Thanks, that's what I was thinking there too, I'm working the next 3 Saturdays, so I have 2 short weekdays each week and may go visit the paint shop I got the paint for my Wild Will 4x4 build at and have him mix me up a can of that green.

Started on that Revell Jaguar XK-E/E-Type I picked up a week ago and decided to put more of an Outlaw or Hot Rod spin on it. In trying to find a pic of the Dunlop Racing Wheels I wanted to put on it and found this beauty…… So, that is how I’m going to approach this build! These will be the wheels I’m going with and already have on order. https://uscp-ua.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=637&search=dunlop The build has been pretty straight forward, I have made the front sheet metal group one piece, turns out the support structure still fits right in so I can paint the parts separately then assemble them. I also shaved the bumpers and gas door…. though I have built a firewall of sorts since the tank would need to be filled from under the back door. Only issue I’ve run into so far is that the hood is bowed, May have to use heat to reset it, any suggestions would be good! I’ll also seriously thinking of painting it the British Racing Green Metallic that Jag is offering on the F-Type, I think that would look incredible on an E-Type!

Thanks guys, I may have to look into the Ukrainian ones, I’m not having much luck with finding the R&M versions.
