  1. That's a sharp looking little truck. Nice job.
  2. Here's 2 1934 yard trucks from years ago & I'm not sure if it counts. A 32 on the bottom & 28 on top shop truck.
  3. I've been helping my friends mom move again all week & this was what was in the attic.
  4. Great job, I love seeing a stock T.
  5. With my parents, get ready, it's a biggie, Boxcar Willie? and with my friends Motley crue in the 80s.
  6. Nice, you don't really see them that often. That was my first car (well, the first car I drove legally on the rode) Mine was a 2 door baby blue with a white top and a 289. Fun little car, too bad I totaled it drag racing a friend on a back road. I was on the wrong side of the road next to my buddies 70 Fairlane 500 going about 75mph when a lady backed out of her driveway. It turned the bumper on her van blue on the corner, knocked out the tail light & bent the back door a little. It caved in the drivers side of my Fairlane from headlight to tail light. With a new fender, door, quarter panel & a lot of time I probably could have fixed it but I was 16 and it was just not old enough or cool enough of a car back then. Thanks for the memories!
  7. Beautiful car & beautiful work.
  8. That's sharp, I like it a lot!
  9. THAT'S NOT FUNNY MAN! PUT IT ALL BACK!?
  10. Yup, do it!
  11. This is great work. I've been thinking of doing something similar but I have too many projects started now. Keep it up, I can't wait to see the end result.
  12. I don't have much luck finding the good models at ollies, but yesterday went went & they had shelves full. (Middletown N.Y.) They had the newer corvette kits (not interested) 55 vette, escalade, camaro, cutlass, t-bird, K123, Diamond Reo, Flatbed, Tanker, and Pumper Fire truck, some planes & ships. I looked at the shipping boxes on the top of the shelves and saw they had more to put out but they were the same kits. If they were different I would have torn into them, the nice thing about being 6'8" I can usually reach the top shelves. I have to travel about 40 miles to get there but we were going to other stores so it worked out. They have another ollies in Kingston but that's a little further & I think I have enough right now.
  13. Thanks guys, it's always fun to get one done in a week just for the heck of it. Not worry about how much detail I do under the hood or if the paint is just right, just having fun doing it.
  14. You guys are right, these old trucks were built to last. My father had 4 34 Ford 1 1/2 ton trucks when I was a kid and a school bus full of parts for them. Man I wish we had them today! But I remember most of the old sheet metal was good on them. Here's a pic of an old Chevy he had that took a pretty good hit way back when & still never rotted it just got rusty. Great work on your truck, it's coming along nicely.
  15. Thanks guys for all the great comments. Yup, the only thing I did was cut the 10 off. This kit had a lot of nice decals in it.
  16. Quick build for fun & to hang off my newest wrecker. Tried to sell it on ebay for $4.99 as a rebuilder with no bites, so it turned into one of my junkers.
  17. Built pretty much out of the box. Added a Midnite Cowboy wrecker body & built a different wheel lift. Nothing great but it was different for me because it's not rotten & rusty.
  18. Wow! Great weathering, I can't wait to see what the rest will look like.
  19. Beautiful! I just got a Ford Lightning and plan on stealing this idea with my 61 f100. Great job!
  20. Wow this is cool. I wish I could figure out the salt thing but I never seem to get it right. Great job, I can't wait to see it finished.
  21. My sister found the Fords for $1 each at a yard sale. The rest is from a friends mother who was cleaning out a storage trailer and found some of her sons old toys & models. He was a very good friend of mine and lost his life in a car accident a few years ago. She said I could have all the model stuff she finds and this is just the start. We built and traded models together from the early 80s on up until he passed. She's moving now and needs to get rid of it but it's hard. We will be getting into his old room soon & the attic. It's fun to see some of this old stuff but sad too.
  22. Nice car, it reminds me of the 1919 Dodge Brothers barn find my father bought about 5 years ago for $1500. We got it home, got it running & he sold it a few months later. It's a shame these cars don't bring better money, they're real history and cool as can be.
  23. This is going to be a great build. I like what you have so far. I can't wait to see your wrecker boom, I've built a few different styles over the years. I used some gears from ebay, I've have torn apart some cheap wind up toys and pull and go cars for the gears they both work and look fine to me. Here's some...
  24. My friend and I have a little HO dragstrip & it's lots of fun. I built this wheel stander just because I saw one on a youtube video and figured I'd try one. It worked great, not fast but fun to watch.
