I use this all the time. I found that if you use the solution sparingly, put it in a zip lock bag & let it sit a few hours or overnight you get the beat results. Good luck with it, it's lots of fun to use. Here's my latest using this stuff.

1929 Model A Ford tow truck
mchook replied to mchook's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Thanks guys. I guess it could go either way. It's bad enough to be junk but good enough to still use. I got the adjustable tow bar built & it's about finished. I'll get some better pics later & post them under glass. Thanks again everyone for the comments. -

I got the email too and was surprised. I went to the website & can't sign in. Maybe the site will die with the magazine? -
Thanks everyone for all the great comments. That actually sounds like something that we could do. I could send you a rotten body & you send me a clean paint job, build them & post them here.

Hi Hans, I found the rear wheels in my parts box I think they're from a diecast. The gears for the crane are from an old pull & go toy car that I took apart. The rest is all styrene. I don't have any plans, I'm just winging it from internet photos. Thanks, Mark -
It has a scratch built chassis, chopped top & Mopar power. I can't seem to do anything other than rusty & rotten.

What ELSE did you build? Non auto related.

Wow that's nice Tom! I want one but don"t have a brook on my land. -
Started this old Model A kit, I scratch built the frame (first for me), chopped the top & found a big mopar for it. I can't decide which wheels & tires to use. Love to hear your choices...

I entered the Desert Scale Classic virtual show & was shocked to learn I too got something for my old Willys wrecker. This is the first contest I entered in about 30 years, it was fun & easy. Thanks to everyone that had something to do with this great experience.
