  1. I had originally started this for two reasons. First - I wanted to actually finish a model, not just start another one. Second - I wanted to try a few colors that I was planning on using in future builds (the dull red isn't what I was looking for, but it works out OK here).
  2. Glad you found us Steve. You have officially made me want to build a garage diorama.
  3. I'm in on this as well. I had actually just started a Monogram '39 Chevy Sedan Delivery just before this thread got started. Not my photo, I borrowed it from the Internet.
  4. The old ITC Raceabout kit had vinyl decals for the stripes. Not sure if Entex included them.
  5. I have not tried it, but you should be able to go to the PM and delete it.
  6. It will be turned back on at some point. One of the options we use keeps resetting itself and will not keep. For the time being you will need to proofread what you type before submitting.
  7. Please continue the museum discussion via PM or email.
  8. There has been a few instances where folks were posting inflammatory content and then quickly deleting it, so some functions have been disabled.
  9. Well, this post made me laugh, so it isn't all bad.
  10. I hope I feel well enough to make it. Been a rough few days.
  11. Thanks for posting that Steve. I went looking for it, but thought it was a more recent thread. I bet I stopped one page short of finding it.
  12. I am locking this down. The added comments do not help.
  13. Nicely done. Love the color on the 'Cuda.
  14. For the record, I do not get to look at every thread that is posted. When a thread is brought to my attention, I go and check it out and move if necessary. Rather than complain, use the report post function like others do. It gets results. I personally consider Rancheros and El Caminos to be cars (maybe others do not). I will look for the UTE. Usually, accounts do not get deleted. The user just stops using it. I am not able to delete an account, I can only ban it. Having your account banned is a bad thing.
  15. The models could also be donated to the Smithsonian Institute. They rotate their displays and I have seen plenty of models in the Arts & Industries building. It would of course be tricky to get them all shipped to Washington, DC.
  16. Just read in the show section that it is indeed canceled. The 1:1 car show was canceled so the facility shut down everything. Dave - I have driven thru parts of WV in the past and remember seeing the waterlines above the 2nd story and not seeing a river or creek anywhere in sight. That is scary stuff.
  17. That blue should look sharp out in the sun. Curious to see how your interior color looks as I am getting ready to start on a model with a dark red interior and cannot decide on what color to use.
  18. If severe weather is truly expected, it is better to be safe than to be sorry. Has anyone received "official" word that it is canceled? I have seen many photos of 1:1 car shows that show the field (and a lot of nice cars) under two feet of water because of Spring showers. Some areas are more prone to flooding than others, like some of those valleys in WV.
  19. If he stays out of trouble, I bet he gets a top 10. Wouldn't be surprised if at some point he leads a lap or two.
  20. You can try a local auto body supply house to see if they have any small/cheap paint filters, but probably find them cheaper online. What about the paint filters you can get from Home Depot or Lowes?
  21. You may be too close when you are taking the photos, they are all a bit out of focus. Step back a bit to get a good focused shot. You can use a photo editing program to crop/resize the photo to get the zoomed in effect. Looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.
  22. You guys don't know what slow is until you try to move a thread to the proper location. 3-4 minutes watching the cursor spin, 3-4 times a day. Dave is working with the technical support department for the software this board uses. Once they get it figured out he will schedule another shutdown.
  23. Locked.
  24. I use the Tamiya Extra Thin on all of my models. It holds well enough. You can use it to attach clear parts, just need to be careful as it does fog.
  25. If I remember correctly, your avatar will be a direct upload to the site, not a shared link from a hosting site. Doing like Bill mentioned, saving to your hard drive and uploading from there, should work.
