  1. The long ram intake looks awesome under the hood. I don't think they were the greatest performers, but man they sure look cool.
  2. I could stare at that Cobra all night. Sometimes (but only sometimes) work trumps model building.
  3. It is a noticeable difference......for the better.
  4. It is automotive paint from Model Car World (MCW) Harvest Gold and India Ivory.
  5. Happy New Year from the Chesapeake Bay.
  6. Model building is a great hobby. It is not nearly as expensive as a lot of the alternatives out there. If you are just getting back in, ask around and see what others would recommend as a straight forward out of the box build. I remember trying to build the P-61 Black Widow as a kid, I never finished it. I have a new one sitting in my stash, but am no where near ready to try and tackle it.
  7. I do see one of those white '71 Demons sitting on my shelf at some point, but nothing else jumped out at me.
  8. Another group of outstanding models Curt. You had a very productive year. No way that I could only pick 1 (or 3) favorite.
  9. Your Red Bull F1 car looks amazing. I love those cars, but don't see myself building one anytime soon.
  10. The Rat truck stands out for me. Would love to see that one in a dio.
  11. Part of my New Year resolution is to finish what I started. So I got back to working on this model. Painted the 2-tone interior (still need to work on my masking skills) and shot clear on the body. The darker green is Neptune Green and the lighter shade is Sea Mist Green. I think the Sea Mist is too light, but it will do.
  12. Welcome to the forum Chris. Looking forward to seeing your work.
  13. You can tell that a lot of time went into the details....and it was all worth it. Outstanding model.
  14. Quality builds! I keep going back to the GTO. I love the color.
  15. I agree 100% with this post. I am curious to see how this turns out though. The concept sketch intrigues me. It does not remove the dog leg, but splits it into two segments. Of the photos shown, the only one I feel that may have improved on the original profile of the car is the Hirohata car. The dog leg is still implied on that car, IMO. The Coddington car is ugly, but I think that about most of his cars. To some, customizing is to change everything even if they should have stopped at a handful of mods.
  16. I would like to stumble across a deal for that Dodge truck. I would also like to own the 1:1 version.
  17. Quality work Harry. Can't wait to see what 2017 brings (hopefully a Pocher Lamborghini)
  18. Nice work, thanks for sharing.
  19. This is not entirely true. UPS uses USPS to deliver packages (at least in my area). Steve - You will need to notify whoever had the package last and have them track it. It may very well just be sitting in a warehouse/storage facility somewhere. The tracking information we see online is not always correct.
  20. Without knowing anything about what model they could have come from, they look similar to the wheels on a 1:1 '79 Nova that I owned.
  21. You never truly leave the hobby behind. Looking forward to seeing some of your builds.
  22. Nice! Looks like it was a good year.
  23. Very nice. When did you find time to eat and sleep.
  24. Congrats Jim. Now you can afford more kits. Your body will adjust and the weight gain will stop. You will then be able to do a little exercise and the weight will come back off.... Then we will see about entering you in a marathon.
  25. Uploading photos directly to the forum has been spotty lately and it has a very small limit to file size and storage space. As Mike stated above, you can use one of the major photo hosting sites. I believe they all offer free plans that give you several GB of storage space. You can upgrade to a paid plan which gives you a lot of storage space. They all have pros and cons and if you ask 5 people what their favorite is, you will get 5 different answers. There is more on this at the top of the forum in the "How To Use This Board" area. There is a small learning curve in using each site, but they are all fairly user friendly now. One advantage of using one of these sites is that your photos are safely stored off your computer, in case it crashes.
