I wasn't expecting the Imperials! I have 8 of the '68 promos, and a 1:1 Imperial Crown convertible in the driveway to build a replica of. I've been trying to acquire a '67 Imperial promo for years. Maybe my quest will be easier if and when these come out.

Looking forward to seeing these items hit the shelf! 64 Barracuda, 60 Nomad, 72 Duster all have empty slots in my stash dedicated to them! LoL

Any new progress on this one?

A real beauty! Everything about this build says, "concept ". My two favorite parts of this RoadRunner are the interior patterns and the rear deck lid. Very smooth build.

AMT's late 80's-early 90's Chevy pickup kits seem to be fairly straightforward kits to build. I've built three so far, and have a few more in the stash.

I watched you construct that Dodge, and pulled mine down from the shelf a few times during that period! LoL Too many ongoing projects kept me from actually starting one.

I have several old original kits in the stash, but the ones that were hardest to acquire are the Renwal Revival kits I have. Still looking for an affordable Jordan Playboy kit and an affordable Pierce Arrow kit. I do have two of the MPC '65 Dodge Monaco kits and a '65 Dodge 880 convertible kit, among other original unbuilt kits. Not really sure how rare any of these are, but it took years to get ahold of them.

There may be a market for this kit at this price. I recently sold three original JoHan kits on the auction site, and the least expensive one was the '69 SC/Rambler, which was a sealed kit. It sold for $99.00. An original open box '71 Olds Toronado kit sold for $129.00, and an original flat box '64 Rambler hardtop kit with a few minor issues sold for $132.48. If this new company can sell enough, then maybe their future products could be presented at a less expensive cost.

If you go as far as mocking up the body, interior, and chassis to check for close tolerances, be sure to add the windows to the mock up. Sometimes, the thickness of the windows along the bottom can really mess with the fitment of everything else.

I use Fotki exclusively for every forum I participate in, even the ones that have their own upload feature. The only problem I have with Fotki is when I forget my password!

Beautifully nasty tractors! Takes me back to my youth. I have a few of these kits. I may need to park the car and truck builds and get started building tractors! If only Heller would produce a 1948 Allis Chalmers WD45.......

Not only are they not frequently found, when they do pop up they can be a bit pricey.

Very nice car...uh, truck!! The color really helps this stand out! I remember building the '70 Bonneville in this fashion, as well as the '69 Bonneville. Cool kits!

That is very sharp! Great blue color. Makes me want rebuild the one I did many moons ago.

Looks like you're on the right track! Nice looking for your first attempt. I do have one question. Do you think it would be possible to find a junkyard GP model kit that doesn't have the sink mark across the back? Reusing a deck lid from an old built up might be easier.

And I think all of them were molded in the metallic dark gold color. There is also a kit of a 1965 Custom 880 convertible. The ones I have are molded in the same color.

Just turned 69 on June 10. Been bashing styrene since I was 8 years old. Kinda slowed down recently due to moving to another town and battling some nasty health issues, but I'm still hacking on a Revell '67 Dodge Coronet build!!

Or maybe a bit deranged, like you can't quite figure out what it's thinking. Spooky stuff!!
