I enjoy the theme, it was very niche. But I understand some may not enjoy it.

I always buy the old AMT truck kits and enjoy them. But there are moments why I put myself through this torture. I like the California Hauler quite a bit. The White Freightliner cab over never got finished for me.

I agree. Our model club president is doing this soon. It makes me sad that he won’t be taking anything with him. Not even his great builds. Said he was going to sell it all. He also can’t do detail work very much anymore and looked like he was going to cry. Felt awful for him.

Very well said. I enjoy this community where everyone is quite often really helpful. Even to a newbie. Now to get back on topic. Once I ordered a Mercedes kit from Plaza Japan because it was super cheap; cheaper with shipping to get it from overseas! Anyway, took 4 weeks and I finally heard from them. They couldn’t deliver it so it got sent back to Japan. They then overnighted it at their expense and I had it in 2 days I think. So a month and 2 days. It was a long time! But they handled it awesome.

Hard to pin down one year. I'm young and I like trucks mostly but there are some cars that I just drool over. 1956 for the Bel Air 1959 for the Impala 1962 for the Bel Air 1965 for the Marlin 1978 for the full-size Ford trucks 1988 for the full-size GM trucks 1989 for the W250 with a 12v Cummins 2006 for the final incarnation of the GTO 2007 for the refreshed GMC trucks 2015 for the Mustang redesign
