  1. The model looks just like the 1:1. Now that magical transformation of the real car is amazing.
  2. Personally I would opt for the resin. I have never completed a model that required too much body work. If it means the difference of it setting on the shelf or put back in the box for the distant future, go with the new body.
  3. Winch with the fair lead will be great on Jeep models.
  4. Since what we do here is left to our imagination and creativity, it looks like the Intimidator will be in a next gen Camaro with a red chassis and Goodwrench sponsorship.
  5. I like the look of the new generation kits coming out. My question, is the chassis from one Chevy car to the next the same? Is the new Ford cars chassis the same as the Chevys offered recently. I feel that building the same exact chassis each time is, well, redundant. I would like to see the body/glass and decals offered as a separate and cheaper alternative to purchasing an entire kit to display the body and throwing the chassis in the spare parts. I realize that the older Monogram kits were a bit cookie cutter chassis but each team had their own interior and roll cage color scheme. I will eventually build a new Nascar kit, just haven’t made the purchase.
  6. Hide that please! I wanted to see how Ace made the fiberglass body for the wagon.
  7. I believe I’m in the middle of the dilemma, too old to jump in to this new end of the hobby but still building enough to embrace the product it offers. I’ll just continue to support the people that offer well made products through this forum.
  8. I have a Paystar 5000 “glider kit” that needs a Series 60. I know this is just a what if build but would like to modernize a heavy duty truck. After seeing the level of detail that is capable with 3D printing, resin copies of available engines are a poor substitute. IMHO
  9. Looks very nice. Hardly notice that the top is no longer removable. I hav one in the stash that is warped bad. May have to make it a hard top.
  10. That is absolutely gorgeous.
  11. Good luck on your new endeavor
  12. I received the engine and transmissions that were ordered just before the holidays, they look very crisp in detail. Don’t think I can build as fast as you can print so tale your time.
  13. Series 60 Detroit is available in some kits but with the cost of buying an entire kit to only use the engine is kind out of my budget. Even being out of production for almost ten years, the Series 60 is still way newer then the Cummins that are in the rehashed kits. The engine in the Transtar kit is the old International V8 that is 30 years old. Yes any new EGR or common rail diesel would be a welcome addition to the aftermarket.
  14. Thought it was only the 102” wide trailers that needed the full width bumper?
  15. My brothers 1972 K10 was that ochre color. Close to a factory color for sure.
  16. Welcome to the forum from a fellow Marylander.
  17. The blower is driven from the gear case as in your first engine picture. The box on the other end of the blower is the governor and where the throttle linkage attaches.
  18. Ambitious project you’ve taken on here. To answer your power steering question, that is what it is. The reservoir would be remote mounted. Keep the pictures coming and I’ll try to answer what I can.
  19. I understand there are other things that need to change but I can deal with them if the grill was available.
  20. I looked on this site as well as the rest of the web for a resin 1967 Chevy truck grill. I thought someone made it in resin as well as the hood. With Coca Cola as well as the ramp truck, I’m sure I’m not the only one that doesn’t want to be stuck building a ‘71 or 72.
  21. I bought a Future at my local Ace Hardware about 6 months ago. It was the last one on the shelf.
  22. Pre molded rusted area to add to the realism.
  23. What kit is the Jeep? You have a build thread on that?
