I wouldn't mind doing this, but have to hold myself back from everything that is desirable, especially modern cars. Great choice of details, love those money pits. Pulling up a chair to cheer you on! Someone in my town owns this one, among other nice cars.

Oh no, even I won't do a RED interior! ? I find it amusing every car has black armrests, everything else such as parking brake boots are matching colors.

I know right? ? Just needs some white spear pin striping. Would look good on your Invader. ?

Purple People Eater paint is on. ? Since I'm very pleased with the Tamiya primer, it dries quickly, sands really nice wet and dry, and the second coat hardly needed refinement, so I proceeded to the base color. I would like to think, after decades of painting, that my ability to mix colors somehow works out, have no formal training, know what a color wheel is but not how to use it, much has been experimental wild-a$$ guessing. I custom mixed gloss black, gloss white, and Insigna Red, and came up with this purple, which would be cool on another car. ? After squirting the car, did a test shot on the knife, and am happy enough with the result, that is just one coat, hope that I can get away with wet-sanding the first color, and spray a second coat to get a little more red. ?

Ain't that the truth! My last score was the MFH Lusso, ordered and waited a couple months through Spot Model, then read they were discontinuing road Ferraris. I've been waiting over a month for Ukranian resin Audi engine, finally got email that it's processing, so feeling lucky. When I read your comment, pulled out the conversions I got awhile ago. You're in luck, Ron Andrews does a resin conversion.

Checking in. That sort of photo is invaluable for doing such a project! The oil cooler would be easy to add. Like the twin turbo plumbing that you have done. The cage looks really good, I'm sure it's stronger than my aluminum rod version put in Porndy ?, had to be really careful. This is just making me want to ditch other projects I committed to this year. ?

I picked one up awhile ago, have an idea for the bike, which will take more work to modify than building the car! ?

Came out really well! I went to the effort to make an arbor, how did you attach to the Dremel? Please post on my Photo-etch disk brake turning topic too. ?

I missed the beginning chapters. Looking really good! What was your trick on the brake disks? I did it too, just wanted to see your method.

☺️ Aw shucks, thanks Dann! Made the fire extinguisher, the Hobby Design kit is really good, first one was for the Porndy. The photo-etch is very crisp, and the pin and tag are microscopic! All those tools towards the front were used. Started on wire and hose task for the engine. Drilled plug holes, oil vent tubes. Added the lower radiator hose pipe on the radiator, and a drain pet cock. Hose clamps are aluminum tape. Also wet-sanded the body, and sprayed another coat of the Tamiya primer, light coat where I didn't got through. Decided to remove the raised front badge, since the aftermarket badge is designed thick to eliminate the need for the raised spot, which makes it difficult to get a smooth paint finish. Also did two test shots of the nail polish over silver, and flat red, don't like the result at all! No pictures.

That looks great, for a beater. I got hair spray from Dollar Tree, it said "perfume free" but it was enough to drop a horse.

Biggest pet peeves on builds.
89AKurt replied to LL3 Model Worx's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
This tip was worth dropping into this topic! A pet peeve, molded on window cranks on the door panel. I figured out how to cut off, then remount and they can turn. So the peeve is technology, apparently the video on the iPhone can't get downloaded. ? Saw previous comments about photos on the messy workbench, guilty. ? At least they are in focus! -
I've never seen one before, very interesting how those are designed, not a bolt from the production car. ? Is this where NASCAR is going? Well done too, so what those ejection pin marks, don't see when it's buttoned up. I like the racetrack map for the driver.

Page 3, Duke posted the best reference material one could have. It's really difficult to compare bright noon sun, to a museum setting, to an auction photo, to a studio glamor shot. Added some photo-etch screw heads, and touch-up painted, glued new parts to the radiator but only set in place. It's going to be fun to figure out an order of installing with the engine. Going to use the Tamiya hose for hose connectors , had that for decades. Liking the fuel pump, painted the filter, later I mixed just a tiny bit of yellow acrylic paint in with Elmers clear glue to put the glass bowl on, looks like high octane is in there.

I have the Martini kit in the closet, will look forward to watching! Love Spot Model, better than any hobby shop in the US.
