  1. Wow, that's complete! Hardly see those Cannoball C.O.E., especially the bigger ones. ? 1930 Indian motorcycle $42,000! ?
  2. Congratulations! Does the contest have a webpage that will have photos?
  3. That Martini Karman Ghia looks like incredible craftsmanship. Rommel's Rod amused me. Thanks for sharing!
  4. I built the Corvette last century. The back wheels ended up on a Porsche. Tractor pullers remind me of these.
  5. Totally impressed! You spent a bunch of time and thought on this. You better be good at figures too, otherwise could be a distraction.
  6. Hobby Search: 1966 American Coupe TypeC w/Blond Girls Figure (Model Car) ~pssst~ it's a CADILLAC! Don't let GM lawyers find out. I did a quick search, Johan originally popped this? Saw a 4 door resin under glass.
  7. Dang, not just any awards, but best of the bunch, WOW! Nice looking plaques too.
  8. Thanks, shiny American muscle is always the favorite. ?
  9. Thinking outside the box, I'm always amazed these creations run. But I'm not a mechanic. I saw this a few weeks ago, talk about a box.
  10. Welcome! I got the picture of the '32 only for selfish reasons. ? My drive was a little longer because the GPS instructions messed me up at the I-10/51 spaghetti.
  11. I didn't have anything to do with it! ? Porsche 904, and the Ferrari is my priority. ?
  12. Link to Modelzona results with photos. *EDIT* Never mind, last year.
  13. Thank you sir! Competition was tough, not an easy task to judge. Aerovette was just to fill space, so not disappointed.
  14. I swear we have the same chair! Mine has fallen over and been repaired with steel reinforcement. Here is my dedicated model closets, part of my office. The workbench, that's a little less cluttered than current state. I really need to ditch that toolbox, make some cubby holes. I'm thinking of relocating the bench up a few inches, so I'm not slouching so much. Paint booth, just big enough for a bench, compressor, and the chair. Need to declutter that too, and wipe down all surfaces.
  15. Sorry to hear that my friend. One more picture, plane was done with Bare Metal Foil, I think a few sheets were used. ?
  16. No kidding, I've learned that over the years! For example, try finding this kit, which could work just as well. It would be even better, if there is a Syncro (AWD) to stitch underneath.
  17. I have that kit. After watching the video, makes me want to move ahead of the Audi Quattro. *maybe* Look forward to watching this build.
  18. spiced aftershave, smelling
  19. Attended the IPMS Craig Hewitt chapter's Modelzona contest. This is my report, focused on the automotive theme classes, and of course the classes I entered. These are my favorites too, not into taking hundreds of pictures, you can see them on the Modelzona website later. All the competition was tough, all were worth study, seems like I've seen a few on this forum, so please say something if you attended! This class early on: They split it when more came in: Competition straight line, I know everyone thinks 1/4 mile drag race, but I had to be a contrarian with the 188 mile open road racer. Competition closed course, I know roundy round paved race track is the intention, again I'm the contrarian with the very long off-road rally. Custom, I know everyone thinks shiny American hot rod, again the contrarian with some foreign thing with flat paint! Think this was another class for street machines, I just love the color! Commercial class which I didn't enter: Big scale: Another class which I avoid just because it's so popular. ? Fellow club member built this, my Coke cooler: Watched the judges, it's a tough job but someone has to do it. When they placed TWO medals on my Stealth Indy Beater, the guys looked at me like "what the ...", I said that I can't do shiny paint jobs like them! ? My only military entry was overshadowed by really REALLY awesome masterpieces. Happy with this, considering I entered 7 models. Enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow competitors, this shall encourage me to butcher more models. Thanks to the IPMS staff for running a great show!
  20. One of my favorite subjects, because I owned a '48 last century, and have built this kit in 4 variations. I really like your wood, weathered just right. The rest of the weathering is really good too. See you added tailgate chains. ?
