  1. Allan, you can download the plans in any scale here. https://www.slotforum.com/threads/race-transporter-plans.182130/?post_id=2151290&nested_view=1&sortby=oldest#post-2151290
  2. This is the kit I used for the chassis on mine. For the Cobra transporter I added a third axle and a mid-engine.
  3. I was not aware of the prices in today's market. But there are 1/24 options from just bodies to slot cars. Not included in this photo is a Fernando resin kit which does include an engine.
  4. The Porsche 906 is one of my favorites and was very pleased when Lindberg released their simple kit. I built this one as raced at Le Mans in 1966 and was the Sports Class winner driven by Stommelen and Klass.
  5. It is a shame the chassis and interior will be mostly hidden when the body goes on. I do suggest you put the model on a mirror when you display it so others can get at least a glimpse of what you have accomplished.
  6. Today's mock-up. Windshield not attached yet. There is a bit of a glimmer at the end of the tunnel.
  7. Looks darn good.
  8. Yes, the vinyl comes in big sheets used by RC Airplane folks and has an adhesive backing. I use a circle template to draw on the paper backing, cut it out, then peal the vinyl off and apply to the model. It is pretty strong and will stretch to compound curves if needed. You can find it with either a gloss or matte finish on Amazon.
  9. Made a little more progress. I am now using vinyl film for the white number circles after disasters with old decal circles and decal paper.
  10. The restorations are amazing.
  11. Rich, Still using Tamiya TS60. New phone/camera though which changes things. Glad to hear you are settled in.
  12. I don't have a Monogram body to compare other than the one I modified but Jorgen said he removed 4mm for his build. I built mine prior to 1996 before Jorgen published his article but if I had seen it first, I would have used his approach and mated the front half and sills of the Fujimi MK1 with the narrowed rear resin deck. The Jorgen Stendahl build was posted on the GPMA web site but I can't find it now.
  13. After getting stalled for months because the body did not look right on the chassis I went back and reread Jorgen Stendahl's article and he replaced the resin sills as cast with the Fujimi kit sills and it worked. So, the spyder is back on the bench again after yet another paint job.
  14. Will the Sapiro version have an engine?
  15. Your link to the video was a big help Phil.
  16. Briggs Cunningham's Porsche 904 GTS for the 1964 Sebring 12 Hour race. Chassis #018 now in the REVS Collection. The model is based upon an early Monogram 1/24th kit.
  17. I am now posting the #37 Porsche 904 photos over in Under Glass. I had to change the side numbers as the they were disintegrating. I also changed the front fender stripes to red. Thanks to Helmut for the Virage Euro sponsor decals and Phil for the links to references.
  18. Lower the engine mounts. They look like you have room to play with them.
