  1. Truly amazing finds. Normally I would thank you for posting but I am too jealous.?
  2. Bingo! I found the kit on the bay. It is an AMT kit and not SMP. This must be the stock version I built from that kit. Hood still won't stay down after 62 years ?
  3. I did find this built up which looks like it used the parts. 1962 Chevrolet Corvette - Customizing kit - Amt (forumactif.org)
  4. I am afraid I do not have any information on the custom parts in the upper portion of the photo but will keep looking. I had them labeled as 1962 SMP kit. Sending you a PM.
  5. OK, I am truly impressed once again with what you have accomplished with these Corvettes. I still have the custom parts that came in the 1961 and 1962 SMP kits and had always intended to build them some day now you have provided some inspiration.
  6. Spot on Emre. Thank you for sharing with us.
  7. Now that is really a cool idea. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  8. I just found this resin body by TKM in my stash that I had forgotten about. It is yours if you want it.
  9. Negative on the Profil24 kit. I have the Scale Kraft resin kit from Guido and a lot of reference material if that will help. I also have a body casting from Mini Exotics of the LM winner, but it was never produced as a kit.
  10. Truly impressed with what you were able to accomplish. Thank you for sharing it with us.
  11. Thanks for sharing this one with us.
  12. Just arrived. Rare and expensive Tamiya slot car but I could not resist. It will become a model of GT40 GT/108 which was a demo car and never raced. Will replace the chassis, interior, and wheels and tires. It will join my other spyders.
  13. Looking good Terry. What paint color did you use?
  14. Just turned 78 and feel pretty good but the angina has started. Not related to exercise though. Another doctor's appointment Tuesday.
  15. Super build and thanks for posting it.
  16. How about some leather color on the stitched rear spring wraps. ?
  17. I do not know of anyone who has done the conversion you mentioned. What I did do was buy a junker Franklin Mint 53 Cadillac to use the chassis, and interior in my 1950.
  18. Two months after I struggled with making decals for this Sebring group build Porsche 904 this decal sheet showed up on French eBay. They look better and more accurate than the ones I made so I am going to replace mine.
  19. I checked Scalemates and there are Aoshima kits that share the same box art so I think UPC imported the GT40 from Aoshima. I have only built the Gulf GT40 from Le Mans Miniature.
  20. This 1/24 UPC Ford GT40 just in. I had never seen one before and the price was reasonable. The surprise though is the box art is of a 1965 nose and mag wheels and the model is of a 1964 Le Mans April trials nose with wire wheels. Shown with the K&B slot body. Since it is motorized I will slip a Fujimi chassis, wheels, and interior under it. I am happy with it tough.
  21. I have a few JADA and they vary in scale unfortunately. The 2 Cadillacs and the 1964 Chevy station wagon are close to 1/24. However, the late model racing Corvettes and Porsches are large and most of them have huge wheels. Some folks have called them box scale, i.e. fill the box.
  22. Super well-done Rich. I think you did the absolutely right thing with the bodies being detachable so we can see the interior and chassis. Thanks for sharing.
  23. Looks really good with your touches. I have debated on this one but with several preorders in the que I had better wait.
