  1. Oh yeah... Kenmore were the best. I acquired my grandmother’s washing machine when we moved in our house in ‘98. Had it for 15 plus years (my grandmother had it for at least 20 since she bought it new). They don’t make them like they used to anymore. We now own a Speed Queen washing machine since they say they’re the best out there. I still love Whirlpool appliances though. My stove, microwave, & refrigerator are Maytag since we remodeled our kitchen a year ago. Maytag are BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH IMO. They don’t measure up to Whirlpool.
  2. ROFL! Sound like me at work. It’s too peoplely out there.
  3. You still have Photobucket?!?!? Everyone who had Photobucket quickly dumped them and retrieved their pics prior to them charging ridiculous money or risk them holding your pics hostage. Shoulda ran when you had the chance, I use Postimage.
  4. Heck... I remember drug stores like Carl's, Fay's, and Rite Aid back in the 80s and 90s having a small selection of model car kits.
  5. Not unusual but you can find some model kits in antique stores and flea markets.
  6. Yeah... I have the same exact kit except mine is original and molded in white, not red. Looks to me they inserted the “new” mold in the original box.
  7. Oh yeah.... me likie....
  8. Watch BeBop Cowboy on Netflix. Lots of classic cars in just about every episode.
  9. Oh wait til Black Friday weekend. There’s always an accident or two somewhere with folks in a hurry to get somewhere shopping. That’s especially true on one strip of road in my area near multiple shopping centers.
  10. Never had an issue with lint sticking to lint screen. Try licking fingers to pull them off. Definitely DO NOT use Pam or WD-40 or anything flammable!! Newer screens are not metal but more heavy duty plastic type. Gas or electric dryer? Hose vent to dryer cleaned out? Metal lint screen? It can be a number of things.
  11. Got the outdoor Christmas lights on the house last weekend along with the snowman, reindeer with sleigh. Plugged it all in and darn sleigh lights didn't light up. Yeah, they're all plugged in. Went out and bought new fuses, took old ones out, put in new ones, waited til that night for timer to kick on. Still no lights on sleigh. Must be a loose LED bulb somewhere. Disconnected sleigh from the reindeer and haven't had a chance to find the cause yet. Hopefully later over this Thanksgiving weekend. Did I mention I hate finding a single loose bad bulb on a string of lights? LOL!!
  12. Today? Geez... you really need get out more often. There are idiot drivers everyday 24/7, 365 days a year. Where have you been? LOL!
  13. Restocked of the same old model kits at my local Walmart. Could it be Ollie’s not getting any kits in time for Christmas?
  14. Like the episode where they tried pulling someone out of a hole too big to drive through. LOL!
  15. Yup. That’s what the MORR in Morrvair stood for.
  16. Hmmm.... I'll have to check it out at my local Barnes & Nobles store soon
  17. Late for the party. Happy belated birthday!!
  18. The other night, I was flipping through the channels on TV and saw this cool Corvair wagon 4x4 - aka: Morrvair. I forget the name of the show (Off Road Rescue?) but man, oh man... that is a cool looking Corvair wagon 4x4. Is there a Corvair wagon kit or replica out there? I wasn't aware there was a Corvair wagon. I wonder what 4x4 frame would it fit on?
  19. This isn't a political discussion.... unless you assume it's a political discussion. No disrespect towards you but just sayin'...
  20. Political discussion can be mature, civilized discussions without offending folks as long as we're all... well just that... civilized. The ones that are easily offended are the ones that have a problem that causes these threads to get locked down. In another forum I belong to, we do have political discussions but they NEVER go off the rails. Take it as you will. I'm the wolf but I refuse to follow the sheep.
  21. Well said. Now try telling that to the politicians from federal all the way down to the state governors and green nuts. Those green nuts have a one way vision of things without looking at the reality of the world. Our NYS governor wants to ban all gas powered lawn equipment or face $100 fines. I call BS and go **** themselves. I refuse to bow down to their petty laws.
  22. Go and try and ask some teen employee on finding a particular model kit. Better yet, ask if they know what a model kit is. Lol! You’ll get some dumb looks.
  23. That’s asking an awful lot for them to do that. LOLOLOLOL!
  24. Funny you mentioned that. I haven’t really figured out the bulkhead part yet but I had thought about retaining the rear window framework on this Nomad kit. I could go two ways on this: keep the original rear window framework and go with it as an opening rear window option or simply go with a solid rear window. I haven’t decided yet. Raiding an old 55 Nomad kit is something I will consider. Thanks for the heads up. Much appreciated. Of course, I don't have a '55 Chevy Nomad kit to spare.....
