  1. Well, there’s the problem. Too much obsession on one NASCAR driver - Jeff Gordon. How many race cars driven by Gordon does he really needs to build? No wonder he’s lost interest. He needs to snap out of this obsession and build something else besides NASCAR. Build muscle cars, dragsters/funny cars, trucks, street rods, etc.... Maybe he should try his hand at building aircrafts, armor, ships or even sci fI subjects. Open his eyes and show him there's more to life than building strictly Jeff Gordon related subjects.
  2. Not my intention in making it into a political discussion. Just expressing my opinion on electric cars.
  3. I know the feeling. I took a break from building for 25 - 30 years not due to boredom but to other endeavors - going out with friends, dating, full time job, marriage, & raising an awesome son. Now I’ve been back in the swing of things for the last 6 or 7 years now and have more time on the bench. It didn’t take me long to build up a decent stash again. Maybe a little time away from building will do him good.
  4. Who can afford to buy an electric car? just saw on the news a couple nights ago they say the average price for a COMPACT car is about $26K; SUV - $35K 0r more, Full size truck $50K and Electric car - $56k These are base model prices depending on region of the US. Nope. I'll never buy an electric car. Can't afford one. Who can nowadays? But I'll tell you this, classic automobile owners (not just in California but all across the United States should other states follow suit with this stupid ban on gasoline powered classic cars) are gonna revolt with this ban. We need to stand up to these environmentalist nutcases and say NO.
  5. California is a nanny state and one of the top 3 highest taxed state in the United States (New York and Massachusetts are the other two). Gas prices has been going slowly as barrels of oil prices are dropping too. I just don’t understand why California gas prices are still rising when the rest of the US they’re dropping. New York’s highest gas prices was $4.46 - $4.50/gallon and now at average $4.16 (BJs Wholesale Club) - $4.25/gallon everywhere else. Methinks Oil Corporates are greedy in the state of California taking advantage of price gouging.
  6. Wow.... sad news.
  7. Keep drinking that Kool Aid..... I, too, have no idea why that thread was locked. I highly doubt it was about Biden. It’s obvious it was someone in the OP’s home country that knows more than we do. Not that I really care because I don’t.
  8. Drivers driving slow or hogging the passing lane during peak hours. I believe the law is if you’re not attempting to pass a vehicle to his right, you must get out of the left passing lane and move back to the right lane. This happened to me twice yesterday. Some folks are so inconsiderate for hogging and riding the passing lane. If you’re not gonna pass, get out of the lane! Rant over. LOL!
  9. We all are well aware of the news happening in the Ukraine. I prefer any posts related to the Ukraine and asking for support to them not be posted anywhere on these forums. They’re likely to get out of hand and lead to political arguments.
  10. I got a cold as well. A first in over 20 years. Caught it from my son.
  11. With barrels of oil prices are going down, gas prices going down even slower. This weekend we saw gas prices go from a high of $449/gallon down to an average $4.26/gallon in Central New York (BJs Wholesale prices went from $4.39 down to $4.19/gallon).
  12. Here's the thing... too many politicians worrying about DST instead of tackling the real issues. Like Bail reform... Oh what a big mistake of joke that is.
  13. I hate winter and the long, cold winter nights.
  14. BINGO! If we made DST permanent, no yardwork would get done til the weekend when most folks are working during the day. All these "sleep experts" has always said it effects health due to our inner biological clocks. They say it messes up our bodies in some form or another, Bollocks! It never bothered me none. I always looked forward to longer daylight hours when we spring ahead. It's better than being depressed when darkness comes early. Besides, longer night time hours are depressing during these long, cold winters.
  15. Our local politicians in New York are pushing to do this as well. I prefer permanent Spring Ahead time for longer daylight hours during spring and summer than going back to standard time in the fall. Who needs nighttime darkness by 5 pm in the fall and winter til spring when we "spring ahead" come March? Screw that! Make it Permanent Spring Ahead than Standard time. At least during the fall and winter daylight will end by 6 pm instead of 5 pm.
  16. You know, ya gotta ask yourself what do you get when you combine YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook? YouTwitFace. ROFLMAO!!!!
  17. I have this kit and now I’m scared hearing horror stories of the decals. How and why are they tearing/ripping? Are they ripping apart after the fact the decals are sliding off the paper easily?
  18. I know I mentioned I think heated seats are a big waste of $$$$$. However, my 2022 Hyundai Kona is equipped with heated side mirrors. Now that is worth having especially if you hate scraping ice or hard frost off the side mirrors with a scraper.
  19. It’s different for me since I don’t build just car kits. I also build aircrafts, armor and occasional ships. Whatever strikes my mood, that’s what I’ll build.
  20. I ignore and delete any and all PayPal emails when know I haven’t used it. Even the ones telling me to “update” my PayPal credit card account. Yeah, right.....
  21. Not on Primetime on Demand but it is re-airing a day later. DVDRed it last night.:)
  22. IBTL....
  23. C-17 Globemaster. It's possible they're doing touch and goes.
  24. I've been waiting for that movie to come out on TV. Gotta check it out on Prime Time Demand....
