  1. I remember my mom and dad made coffee the old fashioned way…. a stovetop percolator coffee pot. I know my sister found a glass one I’ve been looking for for years. Coffee tasted 1000 times better than coffee makers today. I remember the holidays and family get togethers they used an electric percolator coffee pot.
  2. You ain’t kidding. You be lucky if it last over 2 years.
  3. My local Ollie’s had the ‘68 Vette as well. I really was hoping to find the ‘51 Chevy. I saw a YouTube video that the ‘67 Chevelle (yellow car kit on box cover) Pro street chassis will fit on the ‘51 Chevy kit if you want to add the fat tires in the rear….
  4. I’ve been wanting this kit for the last couple years… https://hobbytimemodelkits.com/product/hobbytime-056-1-48-f-4e-phantom-ii-2020-terminator-plastic-model-kit/ But with a $25 shipping charges, it’s just not worth it.
  5. Now let’s see if they follow through with that statement. That’s why I never order from any European hobby store. I ordered from one overseas hobby store and that was Hobby Japan. They have some good stuff you might find here but takes a long time to arrive at your mailbox. That’s fine by me because I know they have a good reputation in customer service.
  6. I just got caught up in this thread and missed this one. Oh yeah…. I’ll be all over this Camaro kit. Most likely buy 3 or 4 or them at one go. LOL! I loved those Monogram kits. My sister did that Camaro kit as a kid. She loved that kit too.
  7. Good job on an iconic Wooden Wonder of WW2. Yes, the Mossie was made of wood, not sheet metal. Ive got the Tamiya Mossie in my stash.
  8. I acquired a book called Bluenoser Tales that is invaluable. It’s very rare and VERY hard to find. You wont find it at Barnes and Nobles or Amazon. I got lucky on eBay several years ago after an email inquiry of possibly ordering this book on a correspondence with one “Punchy” Powell (his P-51 was The West by Gawd Virginian). He told me only very limited copies we’re available - mostly to families of the pilots that flew the Blue-nosed Mustangs. This book is a must have for any aviation fanatic of WW2 - especially those who build aircrafts…. IF you can find a copy..
  9. This company specializes in hobby storage racks. https://www.hobbyzone.biz/modules.shtml
  10. Yup.... they had those in the Northeast too. It's not just the west coast.
  11. A shame really. I picked up one along with a donation a couple years ago. It’s still hanging on my visor in my car.
  12. Better yet, have the funeral home play Pop, Goes the Weasel at your funeral. LOLOLOL! Or.. have a musical Jack-in-the-Box handle installed on your coffin. Let the little kiddie play with it and watch the mourners get nervous with anticipation that the coffin juuuuust might pop the lid.
  13. That’s all you got??? Amateur….. ROFLMAO!
  14. Heh… I’ll betcha that Demon kit will be highly sought after. Definitely gonna grab at least 3 to my stash.
  15. Ugly looking prototype aircraft. Then again, most prototypes were ugly except a few that went on to be iconic fighter jets.
  16. Not bad for a toy look snap kit. The P-51 Mustang is of the 352nd Fighter Group; aka: The Blue Nosed B*****ds of Bodney. A shame they didn’t bother to research the correct nose markings. There are a few famous Mustangs of the 352nd Fighter Group: Cripes A’Mighty, The West by Gawd Virginian, Stardust, Moonbeam McSwine, Hell-Er Bust, Slender,Tender, and Tall, Petie 2nd to name a few
  17. Only in Utica, NY. It's probably all over Facebook too. I see 2 things that brings up a definite theory... 1 - the deer isn't gutted out 2 - no blood Definite theory ... That's a roadkill. Lord knows how long that deer been sitting on the roadside. You can't fix stupid and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
  18. Compare it to a 1/48 scale WW1 biplane…. A stark difference in size.
  19. You’re making good progress on this one. Such a shame to see the tires warped.
  20. Anything Tom Daniels Design kits by Monogram. I have about 3 or 4 in my stash and still looking for more. Any vintage Revell and MPC kits from the 70s and 80s - I’ve acquired a few of them but am constantly on the hunt of others from my youth years.
  21. Talk about a blast from the past. I remember seeing that kit as a kid in the late 70s
  22. It is extremely difficult to achieve a flawless finish using BMF on an aircraft model kit. Very few people can do it. But you're trying. Honestly, why not airbrush using Alclad Chrome on top of a gloss black base coat?
  23. Noted. Just offering helpful advice.
  24. I disagree. I've built several Airfix kits with no issues. Tamiya is practically shake n bake right out of the box. Yes, Tamiya are good kits. I've done several Tamiya kits over the years.
